Martha Rae Gorman Tarrant died at home on Wednesday, October 4 in the presence of her loving family. Many things to many people, she touched lives as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, teacher, counselor, and friend. Her life began on April 4, 1948, in Waxahachie, Texas as the second-born to William Raymond Gorman and Frances Baumgartner Gorman. Martha's upbringing and early education was in nearby Italy where she attended Italy public schools and worked at the town's S. M. Dunlap Library. Martha's love for music began at an early age as a student of the piano. Growing up in Italy, Martha's family were active members at Central Baptist Church where she would often play piano accompaniment for actress, singer, and songwriter Dale Evans - wife of singing cowboy Roy Rogers. She graduated as salutatorian from Italy High School in her class of 22 students. Following high school, she started going by her middle name of Rae and enrolled at Baylor University in 1966. During her undergraduate studies she was involved in acapella choir, the University Choir, and the School of Music honor society. Her involvement in the University's music programs afforded her the opportunity to tour and perform in various cities across the country. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. For her graduate studies, Rae earned a Masters of Guidance and Counseling from Lamar University - preparing her for a career in K-12 education. Rae accepted her first teaching position as a music teacher at DeQueen Elementary School in Port Arthur, Texas. She then transitioned to Thomas Edison Junior High School as a guidance counselor where she met her husband, Ron. They were married in 1980, and in 1984 were blessed with the birth of their son William. After a 17-year career in Port Arthur, they relocated their family to Pflugerville, Texas. The remaining years of Rae's career were spent at Pflugerville High School where she was a guidance counselor for 14 years. She retired in 2001 having touched the lives of so many young people during her 34-year career. Rae was a devout Episcopalian and active member at St. Paul Ellis County. She had a love for all things old and filled her home with unique antiques, vintage glassware, and one-of-kind pieces from around the world. She found great joy in hosting family and friends for holidays and was a talented cook. Rae is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ron, and their son William, husband to Ruthe and their daughters Lucy Rae and Noa Rae. Her older sister Jane precedes her in death. She is also survived by her niece and nephew and their families, niece Patricia Zuercher and her husband, David; nephew John Hicks and his wife, Kayla; and their children, Riley Hicks, Brady Hicks, and Rachel Zuercher. Rae is also survived by her dear friend and college roommate Vicki (Godmother to William), as well as numerous cousins, and friends.

Dianna Gayle Green (1958-2023) went to be with the Lord on December 2, 2023. She was reunited with her husband of 43 years, Terry Green. Dianna was born on June 10, 1958, in Waco Texas. She attended Lake Air elementary school then moved to Laguna Park where she would go on to graduate from Clifton High School in 1977. She would later go on to attend McLennan Community College where she earned her nursing degree. Dianna served as a nurse for the next 30 years. Giving tirelessly to her patients. She met her husband, Terry, at the age of twelve at a skating rink in Laguna Park. The two married in 1977, had two daughters, Stephanie Rae and Ashley, and would spend the rest of their lives together until Terry's passing in 2021. Dianna loved her family fiercely. She especially loved being a grandmother to Ashtin and Lela. She helped any animal she came across and was never a stranger to a cat. Dianna loved her roses, and you could find her tending to them and her animals at any given time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry; parents, Ray and Lela and sister Charlotte. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Stephanie Rae and husband Kris Kaauamo of Leander, Ashley and husband Justin Holleman of Clifton; granddaughters, Ashtin Bree and Lela; best friend, Denise Day and so many friends and patients will miss her dearly. The celebration of Dianna's life will be on Monday, December 18th at 1P. M. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Whitney, Texas.Show more

Casey "Empty" Lyons departed December 2, 2023. He began his life's journey on October 3, 1978 born to Susan (Barger) and Thomas Emile Lyons, Sr in Beaumont, Texas. At a young age, he was known as "Flash" or "Norman", though he was given the nickname "Empty" later in life. A graduate of Bowie High School in Austin, Casey began his career in plumbing in 1997. He earned his master's license in 2007 and started Bunkies Plumbing in 2014. On November 4, 2017 Casey took Corinne Taylor as his beloved bride and the couple shared six years devoted to each other. He treasured his daughter Abigail, held dear his three stepchildren, and cherished his role as grandfather to his three grandchildren. Casey fiercely loved his family and was a proud member of the Gryphons MC. There was no place he'd rather be than spending time with his family or riding his motorcycle. Fun loving and passionate, he could often be found enjoying his garden especially in the springtime when his flowers would bloom, and his peach trees would be heavy with fruit. He enjoyed fishing of all kinds though he looked forward to deep sea fishing the most. Those who loved him will remember his quick wit. Full of random information and trivia, his mind was sharp. He had an excellent sense of humor and loved to laugh. Stepbrothers was his favorite movie. The sounds of his favorite band, Slayer, could often be heard when he was near. Casey had a stubborn streak beyond imagination, but he was always the first to lend a hand. He would give you the shirt off his back. He is preceded in death by his father Thomas Lyons Sr. ; stepfather Carl Ingraham; grandmother Dorothy Evans; grandfather Chester Barger; stepdaughter Emily Barber; cousins Zach, Brandon, Jay, Larry Jr, and Jimbob; beloved pets Dass and Gracie; and many other family members. Casey is survived by his loving wife Corinne Lyons and furbaby George; daughter Abigail Lyons and furgrandbaby Cash; stepchildren Nicole Taylor and Shane Sherman; grandchildren Alli, Axel, and Emerald; mother Susan Ingraham; brother Thomas Lyons Jr, wife and children; sister Cinnamon Waskom, husband and children; many aunts, uncles and family members. Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Boze Mitchell McKibbin Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas. Sandra Kay Prucnal joined the Heaven Father on December 5, 2023. She was born on March 23, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Celia Jean (Lyss) and Robert Dean Schallow, though she grew up in Sussex, Wisconsin. A graduate of Hamilton High School, she continued her education with an Associates of Practical Theology from Christ for the Nations Institute, and a license of Practical Nursing from Milwaukee Area Technical Institute. Though she devoted her life to the love and care of her family, she enjoyed working with a small nonprofit, helping disabled young adults to craft ceramic Christmas ornaments. Sandra longed to be a nurse in the mission field, though she lost her sight. She was diagnosed with diabetes at the young age of eight years old. The middle child between two brothers and two sisters - she of course had a bedroom to herself. Sandra played on the church girls baseball team before losing her sight and worked at a couple of restaurants and a nursing home while attending school. Her family lovingly remembers a time when she carried her youngest brother, who had hurt his foot, about a mile while on vacation. She devoted her life to the service of others. A devoted wife and loving mother, Sandra became the beloved bride of Lance John Prucnal and the couple enjoyed three children - Charity, Chastity, and Caleb, and 40 love filled years together. She cherished her role as grandmother to her two grandchildren - Ethan and Elizabeth. Sandra lived a Christ centred life and instilled those principles in her family. The consummate homemaker, she lovingly prepared sandwiches, snacks, and chocolate pudding cookies for their family vacations. Listening to Adventures in Odyssey by Focus on the Family while they travelled were treasured memories. Sandra was very involved in Missionettes, the girls program at an Assemblies of God church where they were members, and served as the program coordinator. Her daughters fondly recall their mother helping with all the readings and memorization of Bible Verses. She helped them become "Star of Stars". Her love of baking provided many goodies at church functions where she enjoyed constructing craft projects for the children of the congregation. She carefully attended to the home and children during her husband's deployments proudly serving our country in the United States Navy. Sandra's baked good were renowned and she won several blue ribbons for her recipes as The State Fair of Texas and Wisconsin State Fair. She loved Christian Hymns, enjoyed watching Westerns and classic musicals, and attending church. Sandra leaves a legacy of warmth, devotion, and faithfulness that will be felt for generations to come. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Dean Schallow. Sandra is survived by her beloved husband Lance Prucnal; children Charity Prucnal, Chasity Prucnal, and Caleb Prucnal; grandchildren Ethan Cooke and Elizabeth Prucnal. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 10:00am at Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery.Show more
