Rachel Marie Stone, age 78, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at her home. Rachel was born December 7, 1944, in Wilkes County to Lonnie and Annie Hall Duncan. She was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Stone, Jr. ; and sister, Carol Burchette. Rachel is survived by her sons, Mark Stone and spouse Judy of North Wilkesboro, Jason Stone and girlfriend Christy Wyatt of Millers Creek; sisters, Janet Trivette of North Wilkesboro, Delilah Absher of Hays, Mary Duncan of North Wilkesboro; brothers, Kenneth Duncan and Dennis Duncan both of North Wilkesboro; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held 12:00 p. m. Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Middle Cross Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jason Whitley officiating. Flowers will be accepted. Mrs. Willie Jane Call Miller, age 86 of North Wilkesboro passed away at her home Thursday, November 30, 2023. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, December 3, 2023 at George Miller Cemetery in Glendale Springs with Brother Darryl Wagoner officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Mrs. Miller was born February 20, 1937, in Wilkes County to William Harrison and Lula Mae Swaim Call. Willie retired from Tyson Foods. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Glenn Robert Miller, Sr. , two sisters; Bessie Lee Call and Sylvia Call Brown, three brothers; William Harrison Call, Andrew Call and Maynard Call, daughter-in-law; Cecillian Miller, sister-in-law; Ruth Call, brother-in-law; Fred Chatham She is survived by two sons; Randy Lee Miller and wife Judy of North Wilkesboro, Glenn Robert Miller Jr. of North Wilkesboro, one sister; Callie Chatham of North Wilkesboro, two brothers; James Call and wife Pauline of North Wilkesboro, Gary Call and wife Doris of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren; Donovan Lee Miller and wife Ginita of North Wilkesboro, Nicholas Quinn Miller and wife Jessica of North Wilkesboro, Jeremiah Harrold and wife Carissa of Hays, eleven great-grandchildren; Marilyn Lindon, Julia Lindon, Mitchell Lindon, Cora Harrold, Brian Harrold, Margot Harrold, Mason Stanford, Kaylie Miller, Aaron Miller, Tessa Miller, Krista Miller, 2 great-great-grandchildren; Arthur Lineberry and Willow Lineberry, two sisters-in-law; Edna Ward Call of Roaring River and Ann (Angie) Call of Jonesville, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Michael Brandon Morrison, age 39 of North Wilkesboro went to heaven peacefully at his home Thursday, November 30. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Donnie Shumate, Rev. Justin Blevins and Rev. Larry Adams. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM and the service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Morrison was born April 25, 1984, in Wilkes County to James and Wanda Carson Morrison. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in North Wilkesboro. Michael worked at Riverstreet Communications for 13 years as a Field Engineer where he loved his job and his coworkers. The biggest loves of his life were God, family, and Carolina basketball. Michael was known for his warm, friendly nature, strong work ethic and for being quite the cut-up. His fun-loving spirit and kind heart will always be remembered. He is survived by his wife; Heather Brown Morrison, the love of his life, and son Mavrick, his pride and joy, his mother; Wanda Morrison, father; James Morrison, a sister; Jamie Burleson and David Griffin, a brother; Mark Morrison, two beloved nephews; Bradly and Braden Burleson, Parent-in-laws; Mark and Jana Brown, and so many dear family and friends.
