Sharon Gail Applegate Pell 75 passed away at home on November 27, 2023 after a courageous year long battle with cancer. Born to Earl Asher and Marion Grace Fielder Applegate February 16, 1948, she was a lifelong resident of Toms River, NJ, where she graduated from Toms River High School and Ann May School of Nursing. Before retiring, she worked as an RN at Community Medical Center for many years. A woman of many talents, she was a gifted pianist, a skilled seamstress, who created beautiful wedding gowns and historically accurate costumes. She was a wonderful cook, avid gardener and creative soul. When she wasn't caring for her patients she was building a playhouse for her youngest child, a beautiful pond and waterfall in her front yard or restoring and recovering antique furniture. She is survived by her children, daughter Melanie Kloppenborg and her husband David of Miller, MO, son Gordon Clayton of Brick, NJ, daughter Meghan Pell and her fiancee James Woltman of Toms River, NJ, three stepsons David, Micheal and Brian Pell of NC, and 2 grandchildren Andrew Hoxworth of Crane, MO and Sarah Hoxworth of Miller, MO. She was preceeded in death by her husband James Pell and her brother Earl Applegate. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends.Show more

Panagiota Kominos

"Panagiota (Toula) Kominos was born in Athens Greece to Irene and John Loukaides on December 7, 1931. She spent her holidays and summers with her family on Kalamos Island and Aegion Greece until World War II where she survived the Nazi occupation of Greece. She was born a proud American citizen. Her father was a citizen and lived in the United States for several years before returning to Greece in the late 1920s. Her family returned to the United States and lived in Astoria, NY where she attended high school, played volleyball and went to NY Yankee games. After marrying John Kominos, she had her first daughter Vivian and the family moved to Jersey City, NJ. They had 2 more daughters: Irene and Dorothea and resided in Jersey City. She had a thirst for learning and always wanted to go to college. She realized her dream when she received a bachelor\u0027s degree in English and Education in her early 40s. She later was an executive administrative assistant at First Jersey National Bank until retirement. She would often take her daughters on the PATH train to Manhattan where they would shop at a Macys, visit Christmas Window displays, go to Rockefeller Center, circuses, musicals, opera and museums. She loved cats and always had a cat with a good Greek name. The family moved to Point Pleasant, NJ in 1986. While taking care of her ill husband, she developed breast cancer and was a proud 30\u0026#43; year survivor. Her beloved husband John passed away in 2003. She remained in Point Pleasant until 2016, when she moved to Basking Ridge to be closer to her daughter. She continued to be an avid reader, NY Yankees fan and loved Leonardo DiCaprio movies. She was most proud of her daughters, who all have advanced degrees, and her grandchildren Aaron Kominos-Smith and Sophia Murgolo. She is survived by her three daughters, Vivian Kominos and husband, Elliot Smith of Rumson, NJ, Irene Kominos and husband Dave Butler of Helena, MT and Dorothea Kominos and Nicholas Murgolo of Millington, NJ. In addition to her grandchildren, she was the proud great-grandmother of Maya Marigold Kominos. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Complete Care of Green Knoll. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to The American Cancer Society in her memory. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-5PM. Joseph Michael Myslinski, 82, of Toms River, passed from this life peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023. Joseph was born August 29, 1941 in Perth Amboy to the late Joseph and Pauline Myslinski. He was a loving husband, devoted father and adoring grandfather. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, sailing, and traveling. He was known to have a great sense of humor and as a man who could fix anything. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Joseph is predeceased by his parents, Joseph Stanley Myslinski and Pauline Humeniuk Myslinski. Joseph is survived by his wife, Phyllis Sibilia Myslinski, sons, Brian Myslinski and his wife Daniela Benitez of Toms River; Paul Myslinski and his wife Crystal of Stafford, New Hampshire; Luke Myslinski and his wife Christine of Sunnyvale, California; brother, Jerry Myslinski and his wife Mary Anne of Somerset; grandchildren, Steven, Alex, Aly, William and Michael. Shane was born in Naples, Florida on September 13, 1984, where he lived with his parents and sister. He moved to Kinnelon, NJ, attended Kinnelon Schools. He was a man of many interest from his school years where he played the sax and Lacrosse , to his teen years where snowboarding, football and dirt bikes were more his style. As he grew into an adult, he developed a passion gardening and buildings things for the home he shared with his wife Melissa. Shane was a man of many skills and talents. His friends could always depend on his help as a natural fixer upper. Shane's many talents and ability to fix, build or restore comes naturally, even though he learned most of it from his Grandpa Bob and his Dad. He loved his time spent with his family and friends, adored his dogs, Rosa and Rocco and his many chickens. A devoted son, loving brother, an incredible uncle. he will be missed by all who knew him. Sylvan C Margadonna, 89, of Manchester died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he moved to Staten Island before moving to Manchester 20 years ago. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After the war he continued to work at his father's trucking company, The White Express, where he had started at as a teenager, and eventually became owner. He then retired in the 90's after more than 40 years. He was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. He was a phenomenal bowler, scoring two perfect games while on various leagues in his lifetime. Sylvan was always very athletic and played baseball in the minor leagues and an avid golfer. He is predeceased by his wife, Marie Margadonna in 2019, and sister, Theresa Mucci. He is survived by his daughter, Julieann Fox, sons, Anthony Margadonna, Guy Decatrel, grandchildren, Amber Fox & Serena Decatrel and sister-in-law, Linda Galecki. Visitation is Sunday 2-6pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road. Funeral Liturgy is Monday 9:30 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn. "The Dear Lord called our Annette home on December 05, 2023, Annette was born on October 22, 1951 in Jersey City. She married Salvatore Tarsia August 08, 1982. They have resided in Brick, NJ for 36 years. She worked as the office manager at Omni Trade in Freehold, NJ for over 30 years. Annette was an amazing person. She was a devoted wife and faithful friend. Annette worshipped our Lord and valued the fellowship she shared with family, friends and strangers. She was a kind, generous soul who would do anything for anyone. All you needed to do was pick up the phone and she would be there for you immediately. Annette adored her dogs Ginger and Rosie more than anything in the world. She had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. You could always count on her to have the whole room cracking up with her stories and theatrics to go along with them. She loved entertaining during the summer and if you ever left her house hungry it was your own fault. She will be missed tremendously but we are truly blessed to have an angel like Annette watching over us.
