Powell Davis Obituary

Powell Roy Davis, Jr. , 72, of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Berkeley Medical Center. Born February 1, 1951 in Richland, VA, he was the son of the late Powell Roy Davis and Lucille Marie Lewis Davis. Powell worked as a truck driver for Rolling Smoke, Roadway Express, and George S. Orr and Sons Orchard. He was of the Pentecostal faith. He is survived by his wife, Donna Magruder Davis; sons William Davis, Wayne Magruder, and Jacob Davis; daughters, Carrie White, Melissa Swanson, Chrissy Davis, and Haley Davis; 17 grandchildren, several great great grandchildren; and a sister, Dianne McCarty. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight Davis. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 11AM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating. Family will receive friends Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 6PM to 8PM at the Chapel. Interment will be in Arden United Methodist Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Brown Funeral Home.
