On December 6, 2023, Barbara Delores Bonavita passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her family. Barb was born September 10, 1930, in Warren, to the late Beulah Egger Wright. She married her husband, the late Albert Andrew (Rico) Bonavita Sr. , in Warren, on October 28, 1950. In her earlier years, she worked at the former New Process Company and The Warren State Hospital. She was a long- time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Warren. Barb devoted the majority of her life to her family. She loved going to bingo and shopping for this and that in her earlier years and spending time with her family. Barb is survived by her children, Albert Andrew (Andy) Bonavita Jr. and his wife, Deane Bonavita, Rebecca L. Bonavita, and Holly A. Bonavita and her companion, Mike Fiscus, with whom she resided; eight grandchildren, Al Grubbs, Tara Kuzminski, Jarrod Bonavita, Roger Bonavita, Misty Bonavita, Michele Bonavita, Nelson Ball, and Ronald Bonavita who she helped raise along with his mother, and who also resided with her; 10 great grandchildren; one great, great granddaughter; and her half siblings, Kenneth Wright, Linda Grubbs, and Gary Wright. Barb was proceeded in death by her mother in 1967; her husband, in 1995; her son, Joseph L. Bonavita in 2001; one great grandson in 2018; brother, Ronald Kemery; her half siblings, Frederick Wright and Richard Wright. Per Barb's wishes, no visitation will be observed. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family in the Spring. Robert William Smith, 79, of Warren, PA, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023, at his residence surrounded by loved ones. Bob was born September 21, 1944, in Warren, the son of the late William H. and Rachel C. Carbaugh Smith. He was a 1962 graduate of Warren Area High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force for four years and was stationed in Turkey. Bob was employed as the staff supervisor for Penelec for 29 years from which he retired. During his retirement, he drove for Midtown Motors. Bob was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, former member of B. P. O. Elks #223, and Mason North Star #241. He enjoyed the outdoors, scuba diving, and went skydiving over 25 times. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Bob was survived by his wife, Nancy J. Halle Smith, whom he married in 1963; children, Kimberly Ann Phillips and husband Denny, of Warren, Kelly Smith and fiance' Timothy Chileski, of Pittsburgh, and Robert Smith of Wyoming; his grandchildren, Britney Salapek and husband Jesse of New Hampshire, Todd Landree of Pittsburgh, Makayla Phillips of Warren, Kurtis Walter of Pittsburgh, and Kennedy Walter and wife Joanna Rivero, of Pittsburgh; sisters, Susan Arnold and fiance' Jim, of Warren, and Sara Huckabone of Warren. In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas R. Smith. Samuel Henry Bailey, 64, of Warren, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27th, 2023, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA after a year long battle to recover from heart transplant surgery. Sam was born July 11th, 1959, in Warren, the son of the late Henry and Ellen Tranter Bailey. He was a 1977 graduate of Warren Area High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work at Mansfield State College in Mansfield, PA. He later took accounting classes from Mercyhurst College and Jamestown Community College. Sam was a lifelong resident of Warren and was employed for over 40 years as an accountant at Kersey & Associates where he worked with many close friends and clients. Sam was an active and dedicated volunteer in many local organizations. He served as treasurer for PTAs, his son's Boy Scout troop, Friends of the Library Theater, Warren Players, and the Crary Art Gallery. He took joy at the Library Theater often as the sound board operator, projectionist, and performing in a few productions himself. Sam was also a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Jamestown, NY. Sam was an avid lover of cars from a young age, trading often and proudly enjoying 27 cars over his lifetime. Most notably he enjoyed long winding drives in his Mazda Miata convertible. Sam's friends and family meant the world to him and he most enjoyed spending his time with them on vacations, holidays or any occasion. He sought every opportunity to be around those he loved. Sam is survived by his son, Alex Bailey of Erie, PA; brothers, Jamie Bailey of Westlake, OH, and Rick Bailey of Bowling Green, KY; several nieces and nephews, many cousins, and countless friends. Gloria Hope Taylor-Lichte, 87, of Warren, Pa. , passed away on Monday, November 27, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family. Gloria was born on August 30, 1936, in Summerville, Pa. , the daughter of the late Warren "Rusty" and Sara Smith Olson. Gloria was a 1954 graduate of Summerville High School. She held many positions at the Blair Corporation, retiring after 30 plus years. She attended the First Methodist Church. On June 4, 1954, in Maryland, she married Raymond J. Taylor. He passed away on May 5, 1999. On March 4, 2003, she married Klause D. Lichte, who survives. Gloria loved to travel all over the world. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great- grandmother. And will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, LuCinda (Michael) Menard, Randall Taylor, Lorie (Michael) Carr, Julie (Kent) Wilcox; stepchildren, Michael (Nicole) Lichte, Stephen (Yumi) Lichte; grandchildren, Andrea (Mike) Pressley, Beau (Katie) Menard, Ryan Flaherty, Andrew Carr, Bradley Carr, Jacqueline (Tony) Weeter, Jacob (Angela) Park, David Lichte, Gabriel Lichte; twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Richard ( Peg) Olsen; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gloria is preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Taylor; her daughter, Jennifer Taylor- Aponte; grandsons, Nathan Park and Dammond Taylor; her daughter in law, Kathleen Taylor; her brothers, Lorain, Donald, William, and Joseph Olson; sisters, Phyllis Harrison, Sally Olson, Kathryn McBride, and Darla Fyock. Casey Glenn Hansen, 31, of Warren PA, passed away on November 24th, 2023 at home. He was born on June 30th, 1992 in Warren to Curtis Hansen and Lori (Pyle) Montgomery, who survive him. Casey graduated from Youngsville High School in 2010, he also attended the career center. Growing up he played baseball, football and in high school, shot trap. He also enjoyed video games and tinkering with electronics and cars (he always wanted to figure out how things worked). Some of his best times were going to fishing camp with his dad and Grandpa Hansen, spending Sundays with family watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Casey was raised with many cousins and being the youngest, for quite awhile, he was the center of attention and a little spoiled. In 2015 Casey moved to Mississippi and worked for Caterpillar Recon. After a few years, he moved back to PA and worked at FurHaven and a few other local factories. Along with his parents, he is survived by his stepmother, Joni Hansen of Sugar Grove; his stepfather, Doug Montgomery of Alabama; his grandparents, Jerry and Linda Pyle of Youngsville and Sandra Hansen of Pleasant Township; his uncles, Doug (Janet) Hansen of Russell, Paul Hansen of Sugar Grove and Mike Pyle of Corry; his aunts, Debra (Justin) Becklund of Scandia, Brenda (Eddie) Grunden of Youngsville, Amanda (Steve) Markham of Alabama and Michelle (Omar) Milan of Texas; his stepbrother, Colton (Gabrielle) Parker of Sugar Grove; his stepsister, Whitney (Brad) Adams of Frewsburg; his niece and nephews, Kayden, Copelan and Ranger Parker of Sugar Grove and many great aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Hansen and an uncle, William Pyle. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30th at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St, Youngsville, PA 16371, from 4-6pm at which time a service will be held there. Casey had a great love for animals, especially his dogs, Sadie and Snow. They were ecstatic after not seeing him these last two months and we are sure they will continue to miss him for a long time to come, as will his family. Connie "Jane" Fink, 65, of Clarendon, PA, passed away on Sunday evening, November 19, 2023 at St. Vincent Health Center in Erie, PA. Jane was born September 17, 1958, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Donald J. Schmitt Sr. and Esther M. Bitzer Schmitt. She was a 1976 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. Jane was employed with Quality Markets, Tops Market, and Kinzua Valley Healthcare. She also worked in the family meat cutting business. Jane enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, NASCAR, and watching football. She also enjoyed her membership and time at the Clarendon VFW. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. Jane is survived by her husband, Gail L. Fink, whom she married on March 20, 1981; a daughter, Crystal Fink and her fiance Steve Argeny; a son, Travis Fink and his girlfriend Daisy Powell; three sisters, Vonnie "Jake" Rotnour of Harmony, PA, Bonnie Harmon and her husband Dave of Harmony, PA, and Donna "Tootie" Welsh and husband Gary of Rochester, PA; a brother, Donald Schmitt Jr. and wife Barb of Clarendon, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Stanley (Stan) Kobielski, 74, of Warren, PA, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, November 13, 2023. He passed peacefully at home after a brave fight with Parkinsonism PSP. Stan was born in Erie, PA, on February 15, 1949, to Irene Ignaczak Kobielski and Louis Joseph Kobielski. He attended Tech Memorial High School in Erie, PA. He also attended Penn State Behrend campus for 2 years and Penn State Main campus, graduating with a four-year degree majoring in Forestry and Natural Resources Management. Stan's career with the Forestry allowed him to travel all over the U. S. He worked in New Hampshire, Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and the Philadelphia areas. Wherever there was a National Forest, he was there. Stan was very close to his brother and loved spending time with him and his family every weekend. They would work on projects. Each year they went hunting and fishing together, his brother built a shooting trap and they enjoyed friendly competition. Stan settled in Warren, PA where he was an active member of The Fitness Connection, The Allegheny Outdoor Club, and Kalbfus Rod and Gun Club. He married Cheryl Swartz on Christmas Eve 2004, and they made their dream home on the Allegheny River in Warren, PA. They shared a special love, and were always together hiking, biking, cross country skiing, hunting for deer sheds, yard sales, and time spent with family were their favorite pastimes. Stan could be found in the woods cutting firewood and blaring Meatloaf, Tina Turner, or the Mavericks in his truck cassette player. He had a zest for life and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois; and brother, Lou. Stan is survived by his sister Jane (Don) Mallin of Erie, PA; several nieces and nephews; great niece and nephew whom he truly enjoyed. He is also survived by the love of his life, Cheryl, and their fur baby Lia, who was papa's girl; stepsons, Michael (Frannie) Swartz, and Robert (Melanie) Foreman. Stan will be deeply missed by everyone who was blessed to have known him. Helen Sisk, 98, of Russell, PA, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the John and Orpha Blair Hospice House in Warren, PA. Helen was born March 7, 1925, in Ridgeway, PA, the daughter of the late Edward E. and Genevieve Lawton Fitch. She went to many schools but ended up graduating from Warren High School. She worked at Murphy's for awhile and ended up working for Blair Corporation as a supervisor for 43 years, retiring in 1989. Helen enjoyed boating with her husband, playing cards with her card group, collecting stamps, coins, and dolls. In her later years, she enjoyed getting her mail and going through the catalogs. She was a very generous person and loved spending time with her family. Helen is survived by many nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; and many great great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death on May 30, 2021, to her husband, Martin J. Sisk Jr. , whom she was married to for 65 plus years; two brothers, Don and Eddie Fitch; three sisters, Lila Hoffner, Erma Carter, and Edith Lyon, whom Helen was the last of the Fitch family.
