Easton--Phyllis LaRue (Flewelling) Nadeau, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Friday morning, September 8, 2023, at a local hospital. She was born November 19, 1934, to Lincoln Loring and Dora Mae (Fuller) Flewelling in Easton, Maine, where she resided most of her life. She grew up on the family farm in "The Chute" where she often escaped her inside domestic duties to work with her father and brother doing outside chores. Picking potatoes and babysitting were among her earliest jobs. After graduating from Easton High School in 1952, she spent several years in the work force while living in Presque Isle with friends. Phyllis met her husband at Loring Air Force Base. She and Leo A. Nadeau were married in Easton on April 4, 1957. After a few years of travel, they purchased a home in Easton and lived together there for the next 40 years until Leo passed away in 2003. Phyllis had a long career at Northern National Bank while raising a family of four. After her retirement, she returned to babysitting at Wanda's Daycare and for her grandchildren and many others. She was affectionately known as "Grammie" by many, especially those in her church family at Easton Pentecostal Church, which she attended since childhood. Phyllis loved reading and doing jigsaw and word search puzzles.
