Obituary of Phyllis Lacy Phyllis M. Lacy Phyllis M. Lacy, 71, of Westmoreland, passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on March 6, 1947, in Rome, N.Y. a daughter of the late George and Margaret (Millie) Faris Kerber. Phyllis was a graduate of Westmoreland High School, she continued her education at Albany Medical Center, earning her R.N. nursing degree. She was formerly employed by the Rose Hospital and Oneida Hospital, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service. Phyllis was formerly united in marriage to Gerald Lacy. She loved spending time with family and friends, traveling and especially organizing class reunions. Phyllis is survived by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Dawn and Andy Brown, Deerfield; a brother, Al Kerber, Gravesville, N.Y.; a sister, Carol (Dan) Vickers, Kansas. She was predeceased by, three aunts, Violet Lamb, Phyllis Waring and Patsy Murray . Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 3:00 P.M. at Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home 7751 Merrick Road, Rome. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 12:00 - 3:00 P.M prior to the service. Interment will take place in the spring.
