Morris N. Snyder, 85, of Franklin, IN. , passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Otterbein Seniorlife. He was born June 17, 1938 in Franklin, IN. to Charles Snyder and Agnes (Dinn) Snyder. Morris served in the United States Navy. He retired from International Harvester. Morris enjoyed going mushroom hunting and deer hunting. He was a true outdoorsman. He married Marcia "Kay" (Parker) Snyder on March 12, 1958 and she preceded him in death on August 11, 2013. Morris is also survived by his daughters, Kimberly Margison, Gerri Lee, and Connie Spurling; his brothers, Bill Snyder, Gayle Snyder and Pat Snyder; his sisters, Karen Casey and Eloise Luttrell; his grandchildren, Cory, Jessica, Brandon, Sarah, Jennifer, Kylie and Kayla. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Robert Snyder; his sister, Luritha Thompson. A graveside service will be Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 11 a. m. with Rev. Seneca Harbin officiating and with military rites conducted by our local Veteran Organizations. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Duane Arnold

On December 2, 2023, Berchard Duane Arnold entered into the presence of God to behold and be held by his Savior. This was his burning passion for his final leg of this life's journey. He was greeted by those who had gone before him: his parents, Berchard and Dorothy (Cunningham) Arnold; his beloved wife, Kay (Jorgensen) Arnold; his son, Kevin Duane Arnold; sister, Yvonne Litz, and son-in-law, Rex Windhorst. He is survived by his daughter, Kirsten Windhorst; grandchildren, Stacey and Stephen Windhorst; his brother, Keith (Beverly) Arnold; sister, Judy Allen, and daughter-in-law, Lillian Arnold. Numerous things could be written of Duane's accomplishments, and of all the lives he touched, but he would prefer to tell of all that Christ has done for him. It would be appreciated for all donations to be made to either Rio Grande Bible Institute, located at 4300 S. US Highway 281, Edinburg, TX 78539, or to Franklin City Church, at 230 Commerce Drive, Franklin, IN 46131. As flowers fade - and Kirsten has allergies - we would prefer to have all monies contributed towards things that will invest in eternity for others. As Duane enters eternity, his statement will be two-fold: 1) "the man on the middle cross said I could come", and 2) "I'm Kay's husband. . . I'm with her". For those planning to attend the visitation and/or funeral: my father said, "I do NOT want a suit and tie, therefore, since I'm not showing up in one, I do NOT expect anyone else to either. Dorothy was born in Muncie, Indiana on June 15, 1923 to the late Arlie and Ruth (Braden) Butler. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Beverly Bailey. Brenda J. Kirts, 77, of Bourbonnais, Illinois, passed away Friday, November 17, 2023, in Franklin, Indiana surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on October 16, 1946, in Columbus, Indiana to Verl and Rissie (Osborne) Kirts. Brenda grew up in Nashville, Indiana and graduated with honors from Brown County High School. She attended Olivet Nazarene College, graduating with high honors in 1969 with a B. A. in Education. As a student athlete, she was recognized by being inducted into ONU's Athletic Hall of Fame in 1988. She received her M. S. degree from Indiana State University in 1977. In 1969, Brenda started her teaching/coaching career at Bradley-Bourbonnais Community High School. She taught physical education, drivers ed, and health. She coached the girls' tennis and badminton teams. She was active in numerous ways at the school (S. A. D. D. sponsor, Gym Leaders, Winter Sports Festival chairperson, WSI during open pool hours, summer tennis camps, and teacher union negotiator to name a few). She retired after 33 years at BBCHS in 2002. Brenda had a kind and generous spirit. She helped many with little fanfare or recognition. She had a positive way of encouraging others to be their best self. Her strong faith shone brightly and gave her the strength to endure whatever life threw at her. She was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene. She loved to read, play golf, and go camping. After retiring she enjoyed traveling the country in her motorhome. Brenda is survived by her brother, Omar (Marolyn) Kirts, and her sister, Sue Hardwick; nieces, Edith Jane Rosenberry, Angela (Mike) Mathis, and Kristina Hardwick; great-nephews, Tully Hardwick-McKee and Seth Mathis, and great-niece, Micah Kay Mathis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother-in-law, Don Hardwick. Join us to celebrate Brenda's life at 3:00 pm, Sunday, December 17th at the BBCHS Auditorium (East entrance, 700 W North St, Bradley, IL). Andrea Lynn (Beck) Vaught-Hall, 34, was born on September 12, 1989 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Mike and Cheryl Beck. Growing up she loved cats, cows, singing, and taking photos. She had a fondness for animals and loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a wrestling manager for Whiteland Community High School where she graduated and went on to pursue a dental assisting degree. She attended many 5k's with her family and friends. She loved to spend her free time with her three children, family, friends, and of course her fur babies. She loved listening to music and dancing around, making everyone smile. Andrea passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at her home. She is survived by her father, Mike Beck; her husband, Darren Hall; her three sisters, Amber (Jack) Christy, Allysa (Alan) Parish, and Audree Beck; her three children, Mason, Ella, and Emory Vaught; her stepdaughter, Tierra Hall, as well as many nephews and a niece. Carolyn Jane Lisby, 74, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away on November 22nd, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Regina (Clifford) Bechert; her sisters, Linda M. Nalley of Franklin, Indiana, Karen E. Dixon of Franklin, Indiana, and Betty L. Dollery of Luling, Texas; her grandchildren, Heather (Jacob Parks) Mason, Chastity (Eddie) Suggest, TerraDawn (Sean) Dickus, Michael (Victoria) Bechert, and Jamie S. Lear. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews that Carolyn loved dearly. Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, Conrad M. and Margaret M. Lisby; her grandson, Elvis Dalton Aron Small; her great grandson, Braylen Ryder Parks; and her brothers, John E. and Forrest W. Lisby. Carolyn worked as a CNA for 20 years. She enjoyed time with her family, she particularly liked puzzles and playing UNO Attack with them. Carolyn was a big Elvis Presley and Indianapolis Colts fan. Carolyn will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date.Show more
