Phillip Frank Sullivan, 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p m on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Hart's Chapel at the Cupola, with Reverend Harriette Simmons officiating The family will greet friends for a reception following the service Son of the late Henry Thompson Sullivan and Louis Huckeba Sullivan, Phillip was born on January 25, 1944, in Albany, Georgia He moved to Macon in 6th grade and attended Alexander IV and Lanier High School, where he honed his competitive spirit playing football He was a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity Phillip's professional life was defined by hard work and dedication He co-owned Dixie Truck & Parts before his significant tenure at the Walthall Oil Company His career was marked by service, commitment, and an unfettered desire to create a positive impact within his work-circle Phillip's interests were wide and varied and contributed to the well-rounded person he was He was an active member of several social organizations, including Idle Hour Country Club, Macon Civic Club, and Satilla River Club, where he gifted those around him with his infectious smile and joyful nature He was a gifted storyteller, and his infamous yell could ignite laughter in any room A sportsman at heart, Phillip had a passion for fishing and boating, often venturing onto rivers, lakes, and oceans in pursuit of serenity Hunting was another favorite pastime that brought him joy His humor was unmatched, and he relished in pulling pranks and teasing those closest to him He loved to celebrate life, valuing festive gatherings and going the extra mile to accomplish any task Notably, Phillip's faith played an indispensable role in his life He was a cherished member of his church community and was known for his ability to defuse any tension effortlessly, demonstrating his skill for making everyone feel comfortable and accepted He believed in celebrating the lives of others through his considerate gestures, one of which was his timely 6am phone calls, wishing his family and friends a Happy Birthday To describe Phillip as faith-filled, loving, and selfless would only scratch the surface of a man who dedicated his life to service, joy, and love He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ruth Sullivan; daughter, Anna Lee Bound (Luke); grandson, Sullivan Bound; sister-in-law, Jean Sullivan; nieces and nephews: Henry Thompson Sullivan III, Lowe Kinman, Lee Bailey, Jim Kinman, Shawnda Corbin, Lee Corbin, Steve Corbin, and Bill Corbin; and cousins, Carla Dodd and Jackie Biggers In addition to his parents, Phillip was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Sullivan; aunt, Jerry Douthit; and sisters-in-law, Carol Corbin and Mary Marbut In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Georgia Industrial Children's Home, 4690 N Mumford Rd Macon, GA 31210, Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, 500 Bass Road, Macon, GA 31210, or donor's favorite charity Please visit www hartsmort com to express condolences Hart's at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements To to the family or in memory of Phillip Frank Sullivan, please

Kathryn Marie Parish, also known as Pretty Pretty, passed away November 24, 2023, in Macon, GA, at the age of 27. She was born on December 5, 1995. Kathryn was a loving mother and wife who had a heart full of unconditional love. Her presence would light up any room, and her infectious charm and wit would captivate everyone around her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was well known for her intelligence and beauty. Kathryn, or Katie as she was affectionately called, had a wide range of interests and hobbies. She enjoyed swimming, reading, listening to music, and finding new shows to watch. She also had a passion for video games and loved engaging in conversations with anyone who would listen. Even with all these interests, her main passion was spending time with her beloved children whom she cared for with unconditional love and with whom she spent every moment she could. Kathryn leaves behind her beloved spouse, Jeremiah Parish, and their precious daughter, River Amelia Parish. She was also a mother to three stepchildren she considered her own, Elianna, Hannah, and Jude Parish. She was a cherished daughter of Annette Allmond and a loving sister to Barrett Allmond. In addition, she is survived by her father-in-law, Christopher Parish, and mother-in-law, Terre Parish. Kathryn was preceded in death by her father, Reamer Allmond. Hilda Ann Travis Jones, a mother, a precious member of Beulahland Bible Church, a retired social worker/teacher, and a cherished Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated member was called back to God on Sunday afternoon, November 26, 2023, at the age of 78. Born on May 25, 1945 to Mr. James "Jimmy" Travis and Mrs. Cecilia Arnetta Crawford Travis. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10:00 a. m. at Beulahland Bible Church with Pastor Carlos L. Kelly officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. at Snow's @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. A native of Lake Wales, FL, Hilda received her Bachelor of Science degree (B. S. ) from Bethune-Cookman College in Daytona Beach, FL. where she met the love of her life, Issac Jones, Jr. She always said that their love was like Georgia pines meets Florida oranges. After marriage, she and Ike relocated to his hometown of McIntyre, GA. Her further studies led to earning both a Master of Education degree (M. Ed. ), and Educational Leadership degree (L-6), at Georgia College and State University, Milledgeville, GA. A Master of Social Work degree (MSW), was acquired at the University of Georgia, Athens, GA. A career that began as an elementary teacher for fourteen years in Wilkinson County Schools, Irwinton, GA, progressed to other positions and duties. A dual title of School Social Worker/Administrator was created, resulting in Hilda's assignment to the office of the Wilkinson County School District, and was employed in that position for nineteen years. After retiring, and moving to Macon, GA, she returned to teaching, working in the Bibb County School District for several years. Being a committed member of The Beulahland Bible Church, Hilda understood that in God's Word she would find strength, hope, love, peace and joy. She faithfully served and participated in several church Ministries: Hospitality; Marriage and Relationship; Women of Grace; and Volunteerism. She also distributed blankets to the homeless. Because a part of her church's Mission is, "Changing Lives in Middle Georgia," Hilda was actively involved in helping to make a difference throughout this community through her work in the above mentioned Ministries. Soror Hilda was initiated into the undergraduate Gamma Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated at Bethune-Cookman College on December 10, 1964. She earned the Golden Soror status with 59 years of service in the sorority as of December 10, 2023. Since becoming a member of the Epsilon Omega Omega Graduate Chapter in 1996, she faithfully participated and worked diligently on various committees and chapter programs over the years. One of her most proud moments was being recognized by her Sorors and presented with the "2016 Extra Mile Award. " Being a part of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated was one of the highlights in her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Issac (Ike) Jones; her parents Mr. James "Jimmy" Travis and Mrs. Cecilia Arnetta Crawford Travis and her brothers Jim Travis, Herman Travis and Hiram Travis. She is survived by her three children, Jarvis Jones, Travis Jones, and Tarah Jones, five grandchildren, J'Terius Jones, Munashe Jones, Kennedi Jones, Averi Jones and Mason Jones and her siblings Tillie (Albert) Tomlin, Rose Travis, and Terry Lee Travis and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. They all brought her much love, joy and happiness. Hilda was a kind, hardworking and enthusiastic person with a larger than life personality. She enjoyed living a healthy lifestyle, traveling, making others happy, and watching her favorite show "The Voice". She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and a mentor who touched the lives of many in the Wilkinson and Bibb County community and beyond. Matt was the ultimate entrepreneur with many amazing God-given talents. These included woodworking, lighting, designing, and many other creative adventures. He began woodworking as a child and as a self-taught carpenter, he could build anything from cabinetry to ornate houses. As he grew up, his gifts developed into a beautiful balance of logical mathematics and creativity. He graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting in 1996. As a third generation mover, Matt was extremely family oriented and used his degree to expand Blair Moving and Storage. His pursuit of health and wellness led him on many athletic adventures. He enjoyed rock climbing, bicycling, olympic lifting, and won several CrossFit competitions. He also held a black belt in karate. Often referred to as a "problem solver," Matt could fix anything and once designed an app for CrossFit enthusiasts and purchased a gym to test his app ideas. In addition, he developed a supercomputer to harness additional engineering and blueprint design skills. Matt was a visionary with aspirations of taking his amazing gifts and talents to create experiences in helping others bring their imagination to fruition. Matt's quietness and determination endeared him to many people. He was successful in everything he attempted to do. He is survived by the love of his life, Dr. Sylvia Rose-Brown (married for four years); parents, Pam and Larry Brown, who provided unconditional love and support; brother, Jason (Angela) Brown; and a niece, Autumn Worsham. He will be missed by many family and friends. Catharine Burns Liles, 79, of Macon, Georgia, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023. The family will greet friends from 5PM to 7PM Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Hart's Mortuary on Cherry Street. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, with the Reverend Bryan Hinson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverside Cemetery. Daughter of the late James Derry Burns and Hazel Holmes Burns, Catharine was born September 11, 1944, in Macon. She attended Alexander IV Elementary and A. L. Miller High School. Catharine then completed her high school studies at Stratford Academy. Her love for knowledge led her to earn a BA degree from Wesleyan College, before obtaining her master's degree from Mercer University. Shortly after graduating, ambitious Catharine took the brave step of starting her own business - Liles and Associates, a marketing firm. She was a wise businesswoman, who added great value within her field. Catharine was known for her love of arts, bringing beauty into the world through her sculptures and stunning watercolor and oil paintings. Catharine will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Mary Parker Liles (Mark Yates), of Washington, North Carolina, Rebecca Grist (Joel), of Macon, Georgia, Catharine Watkins (Nat), of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren: Hali McClain Johnson, Jeremiah Liles Johnson, Mary Blain Grist, Joel Marion "Jack" Grist, and Mary Cate Sample; sister, Hazel Struby (Neil), of Gray, Georgia; and brother, Derry Burns (Juliette), of Macon, Georgia.
