Mr. Philip M. "Phil" Land, age 71, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life on January 13, 1951 in Washington D. C at Walter Reed Medical Center. He was the son of the late John Poland and Joyce Richardson Land. He was raised in Maryland and attended school there. He was employed as a screen printer with Walkus Johnson Company in Maryland. Phil liked to travel to Alaska and enjoyed exploring there. He was united in marriage on August 2, 1995 in North Vernon, Indiana to Margaret Ludwig. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses-Madison congregation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, television and talking about outer space. Phillip died on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 3:42 p. m. at the Indian Creek Nursing Home in Corydon, Indiana. Phil is no longer suffering and is at peace and as Ecclesiastes 9:5 says for the living know that they shall die: but the dead are conscience of nothing, and he is resting in peace until the resurrection to life on earth in paradise. A LOVING FAMILY Phillip will be missed by his wife of nearly 27 years, Margaret Ludwig Land of Hanover, Indiana; his daughter, Colleen King of Gaithersburg, Maryland; his grandsons, Xavier, Jalen and Jacob; his step daughters, Joi-Lynn Catanzaro of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kelly Brown of Madison, Indiana; his step grandchildren, Taylor, Raheem, Dylan, Calli, Emilie, Logan, and Christina; his step great grandchildren, Millie, Mia, Dominick, and Xander; his brother, Steve Land and his wife, Brenda of Milton, Kentucky; his sisters, Barbara Curtis and her husband, Rick of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cheryl Schofield and her husband, Terry of Florida; his brothers in law, Pete White of Maryland and Dale Ludwig of Madison, Indiana; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, John Poland Land, his mother, Joyce Richardson Land, his sisters, Janet Muccigrosso and Diane White, his step son, Matthew Ryan Brown, died October 29, 1998 and his sister in law, Marjorie Ludwig.
