Obituary of Phillip Dunn Phillip Lee Dunn, age 67, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst. Mr. Dunn was born in Montgomery County on November 21, 1951, to Howard and Mitchel Cagle Dunn. He was a retired textile fixer and was a veteran of the NC National Guard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Dunn. He is survived by his ex-wife, Carol Comer Dunn, of the home; daughter, Amanda Dorsett and husband, Jeff, of Star; son, Stephen Dunn and wife, Karen, of Eagle Springs; sister, Brenda Stidham and husband, Billy, of Bolivia; brothers, Jerry Dunn of Star , Tommy Dunn and wife, Helen, of Biscoe, and Donald Dunn and wife, Terrie, of Star; sister-in-law, Jolley Dunn; and grandchildren, Zachary Dorsett, Justis Dorsett, and Caleb Dunn. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 6, 2019, from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Phillips Funeral Home in Star. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 7, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Allen officiating. Interment will be in Dover Baptist Church Cemetery.
