Phillip Bladen Obituary

Mr. Phillip Bladen, 72, passed away Monday (May 8, 2023) at his daughters residence in Waycross following a short illness. He was born in Ware County to the late John "Boston" Bladen and Ollie Joyner Bladen. He was a former truck driver but had most recently been a landscaper. Those who knew Phillip considered him a jack of all trades and a man of few words. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Smith and her husband Mike; and a nephew, Jimmy Dean Howell. He is survived by two daughters, Lena Howard of Waycross and Amanda Kimmel (Ryan) of Waycross; a step-daughter, Wendy Justice of Blackshear; four grandchildren, Alston "Bubba" Kimmel (Emily Benton), Aryel Kimmel, Daniel Howard, and Hunter Howard; his former wife, Lawanda Bladen of Waycross; a brother, John Bladen (Dawn) of Darien, GA; and an uncle, A. J. Joyner (Pat) of Waycross. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorialization will be by cremation.
