EULESS - Peggy Jean Millender, 75, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019. Peggy was born October 2, 1943, in Amarillo to Dorothy and Reese Burl Newton. She grew up in Diamond Hill, along with her two sisters, Betty and Barbara. Peggy graduated from Diamond Hill Jarvis High School in 1961 where she worked on the school newspaper. After high school she worked for the FAA in the clerical department, that is where she met her husband, Harold. They married on December 31, 1962. They moved to Oklahoma City in 1964 and returned to the DFW area in 1966, where they built their home and raised their family. Peggy became very involved in organizations such as, The American Cancer Society, Little League Baseball and PTA where she held numerous board positions. She enjoyed baking, gardening, writing poems and watching football and baseball. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Reese Newton; sister, Betty. Survivors: Husband of 56 years, Harold; sons, Michael and Farrell and wife, Christine; daughter, Marci; grandchildren, Mason, Jackson, Abigail, Evan, Brett, Brandon and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ronnie and Lilith Jean; and sister, Barbara.
