"Pedro Franco Rivera, Jr. peacefully transitioned into eternity on September 23, 2023 at University of Maryland Medical Center Baltimore. He was 62 years of age. Pedro was born November 19, 1960. He graduated from Colonel Richardson High School in 1979. Pedro loved driving trucks, spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. Pedro loved joking and talking trash. He first took sick at 37. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pedro Franco Rivera, Sr. and Rosezina Victoria Franco; grandparents Thomas Franco and Wilvera Franco Rivera, Myrtle Friend. He is survived by his children Janae Rivera and Gary Akins, Jr. ; seven grandchildren Ge\u0027Aria, KiMani, Gary Akins, III, Tey\u0027sha, Kali, Gianni and Ge\u0027Mari; his best friends Calvin Wilcox and LaVerne Frazier; sisters Linda Friend-Hyman and Letecia Franco (William \u0026quot;DBrid\u0026quot;) , brothers Jose Franco (Robin) and Larry Friend (Lisa); sister Joyce Smith (Jesse), aunt Doris Young and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the Framptom Funeral Home, Federalsburg, MD at 11:00 a. m. with the Reverend Jeff Butler officiating. A viewing will be held from 10-11:00 a. m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Petersburg Cemetery, Hurlock, MD. "

She left behind two beautiful daughters, Ashlee and Candice Wright and a beautiful step-daughter Abigail Wright. Born August 5, 1976, she was the daughter of the late Bob and Cindy Hastings. She graduated from North Dorchester High School. Michelle loved to cook, bake and go 4 wheeling. Even though Michelle lost contact with some of her friends and family, she thought of them frequently and loved them all. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. "Johnnie Duncan Wright, III, better known as "Baby Boy" or JD was born March 3, 1976. JD died tragically in a car accident the morning of November 29, 2023 along with his wife, Michelle, leaving behind 3 beautiful daughters: Abigail, Ashlee and Candice Wright. He was the son of Lora Woodward of South Carolina and the late Johnnie Duncan Wright, II. He worked for Dorchester Lumber \u0026amp; Co. for over 20 years and thought of Ben and Beulah Dickinson as family. JD loved to fish, go 4-wheeling, hunt, farm, and diesel mechanics. He always had a smile on his face and a contagious laugh. He never met a stranger. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. "In Loving Memory of James \u0026quot;Jimmy\u0026quot; Coulbourne (1944 - 2023) 79 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, brother and dedicated public servant, Jimmy \u0026quot;Jim\u0026quot; Coulbourne, who peacefully departed this world on November 28, 2023. Throughout his life, Jim wore many hats and excelled in various roles. He began his journey as a young man who embraced the call of duty by joining the US Army, then later serving as a dedicated police officer for the town of Federalsburg. A town and community that he loved. Later in life, Jim transitioned into a new chapter, where he became a skilled truck driver. His adventurous spirit took him on countless journeys across the open roads of this great nation, making new friends along the way and forging cherished memories that would last a lifetime. In the later years of his career, Jim found fulfillment in his role as an employee of the Town of Federalsburg. His commitment to public service continued to shine through as he worked diligently to enhance the community he cared for deeply. Above all else, Jim\u0027s greatest role was that of a loving husband and father. He now joins his beloved wife, Brenda, in heaven, as she preceded him in death by only a few months. Theirs was a love story for the ages, a bond that not even death could break. Together, they created a home that was the heart of their family. Jim was a father to his surviving children: Deanna, Jackie, Jason, Jimmy 3rd, David, and Lacie. Many of Jim\u0027s qualities will live on in each of them. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved brother Windsor, his son James 2nd, his son Mitch, and his loving sister Pat. Their memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved them. Jim\u0027s joyful spirit was infectious, and he had an extraordinary ability to bring laughter and warmth into any room. He loved to joke, laugh, and share smiles with those around him. His sense of humor and quick wit were truly remarkable, and he will be fondly remembered for the joy he brought to the lives of all who knew him. In addition to his brother David and wife Kathy, Jim leaves behind many loving children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him. As we say goodbye, let us remember the life he lived, the love he shared, and the lasting impact he had on our lives. His laughter and smile will forever be etched in our hearts, and his kindness will continue to inspire us all. May Jim\u0027s soul rest in eternal peace. Though our hearts are hurting now, we have the memories to hold. Rest assured Jim will be waiting for each of us on the other side with a funny line and his signature smile. "Louise \u0026quot;Bo\u0026quot; Noble Cohee of Federalsburg passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at her home. She was 90. She was born on the family farm on February 23, 1933 in Federalsburg, Maryland, the daughter of the late Kemp Noble and Mary Lowe. After her education, she married Ralph Cohee on October 7th, 1950. He preceded her in death on November 15, 1987 after 37 years of marriage. She worked for the former Safeway Stores in Cambridge, Seaford and Easton until her retirement. Growing up on the farm, Louise enjoyed raising various farm animals. In her free time, she enjoyed antiques, attending the American Corner auctions, cooking for her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Wesley Cohee (Julia) of Hurlock, three grandchildren Chelsea Slacum (Josh) of Cambridge, Callie Hopkins (Sonny) and Joel Cohee all of Hurlock; six great-grandchildren: Law, Lochlen, Brixten, Crew, Will and Calvin; and two sisters: Eleanor Manogue of Seaford and Shirley Steele of Georgetown. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Betty Schevel and a brother William Noble. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00 at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery in Federalsburg. "Stephanie-le Bennett, of Little Cherry Creek Ranch, Pinos Altos, NM, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023 in Denton, MD. Born on October 3, 1940, in San Diego, CA, to Capt. Hilary C. Rowe and Dora-le Rowe. Stephanie lived a life rich with diverse experiences. Stephanie pursued her studies at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD, the University of Maryland in Far East, MD, and later at Eastern New Mexico University in Clovis, NM. Stephanie served as a Den Mother for 30 years, contributed to the Panhellenic Club in Clovis, NM, and was a pioneer \u0026quot;soccer mom\u0026quot; long before the role gained popularity. Her leadership extended to roles such as President of the Woman\u0027s Auxiliary Little League Baseball in Clovis, NM, Welfare Chairman at the 315th Air Division in Tachikawa, Japan, and various positions within the Red Cross, including Bloodbank Chairman in Tachikawa, Japan, and Red Cross Chairman at Cannon AFB, NM. Her dedication to politics and community service led her to become the President of the Republican Women in Curry and Grant Counties in NM, as well as the Vice Chairman of the GOP Central Committee in Queen Anne\u0027s County, MD. Stephanie was also an active member of numerous clubs, including the Jr. Women\u0027s Club in Clovis, NM, Gold Star Wives, and DAR El Portal Chapter in Clovis/Portales, NM, and the Jacob Bennett Chapter in Silver City, NM. Stephanie is survived by her sons: William Winfield Vanous III of Clovis, NM, Ted Bennett, and Bryan Bennett of Garland, TX; daughters: Jennifer Whitehead (David) of Rogue River, OR, and Melissa Gillespie (Kevin) of Federalsburg, MD. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren: Lorrissa Short, Meagen Alonzo, Michael Vanous, Megan Green (Craig), Tiffany Garcia (Greg), Tyler Short (Areli), Emily Cox, Sarah Gillespie, and Rachel Gillespie, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Capt. Hilary C. Rowe, USN (retired) and Dora-le Rowe, her brother, Hilary C. Rowe, Jr. , her husbands, William Winfield Vanous, Jr. , and Jeffrey T. Bennett, Brent F. Buchheister, her beloved companion of over 25 years, and her son, Michael S. Vanous. Stephanie\u0027s hobbies were crocheting, gardening, reading, playing bridge and cribbage, canning, raising animals, target practicing, sewing, cooking, and embracing the simple pleasures of life. "Linda Darlene Boda, born on October 28, 1958, at Milford Memorial Hospital to parents Lawrence Albert Morris and Edna Mae Clendaniel, went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2023. Linda\u0027s educational journey took her from Lake Forest School District until her Junior year, after which she attended Laurel High School. She proudly graduated as part of the Bicentennial Class of 1976. Subsequently, she earned a certificate in Accounting from Ken Business School in Newport News, VA. In 1979, Linda married her high school sweetheart, John Carroll McDorman. Together, they were blessed with two sons, William Carroll McDorman and Matthew Sterling McDorman. Linda found immense joy in various activities, but her true passion was sewing. She poured her love into creating cherished items for her children and grandchildren, leaving behind tangible reminders of the love she held for them. Linda was a devout member of Victory Tabernacle, where her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Morris, and her mother, Edna Chipman. Linda is survived by her son William Carroll McDorman, her daughter-in-law Christy McDorman, and her granddaughter Payton Hope McDorman. She is also survived by her son Matthew Sterling McDorman, his fiancee Sierra Schultheis, and her granddaughter, Evelyn Caryl McDorman. May Linda\u0027s memory, her faith, and her love be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
