Pearl Ann Solomon, 97, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2023 Pearl was born on the South Side of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1926 It was there that she met and married her husband, Louis Solomon The family moved to Canton, Ohio in May, 1961 Pearl was an avid cook and baker and could make anything, whether it be American, or any kind of ethnic foods She loved being in the kitchen baking bread, cookies, or trying new recipes She loved the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cleveland Cavaliers Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Louis of 56 years; brother, George Steding; sister, Lorraine Bronislawski; sons-in-law, David Thornton and Michael Pfeifle; and great-grandson, Eli Mitchell She is survived by her son, Louis Solomon (Janice), grandchildren, Victoria Solomon-Kaufmann (Austin), and Michael Solomon (Megan); daughter, Marlene Pfeifle of Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Pamela Dawson (Martin), Maggie Mitchell (Micah), and David Pfeifle; daughter, Mary Dale Lemmon Hartung (Wick), grandchildren, Paul Lemmon (Jacki), and Jennifer Lemmon Pearl had seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren She was dedicated to her family and it showed through the love for her children and grandchildren with whom she was very close We wish to thank the nurses at St Luke's Lutheran Home and Crossroads Hospice where they provided great and compassionate care In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Luke's Lutheran Home or Crossroads Hospice Condolences to the family may be made here on our tribute wall Heitger Funeral Home and Crematory 330-830-0148 To to the family or in memory of Pearl Ann (Steding) Solomon, please

Barbara JoAnn (Crouse) Gregis, age 83 of Canal Fulton, died Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Barbara was born on March 28, 1940 in Bridgeport, WV to Ray & Nellie (Ross) Crouse. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1959, and married John Leroy Gregis on July 1, 1960 in Winchester, VA. She moved to Ohio with her husband and very young children, first living briefly in Akron, and then as a resident of Canal Fulton since 1967. The last 3 years of her life were spent at Danbury Senior Living in Massillon. While her children were young, Barbara was a devoted homemaker. Later, she joined her husband as owners of Superior Auto Service in Akron, OH. Barbara handled the office & administrative duties, while Leroy ran the auto collision repair shop, parts & supplies ordering, and employee training. Both of their children worked at the family business during summers off from high school & college, with Duane joining his parents full time after his high school graduation. Together, the three of them proudly grew the business and served numerous customers for almost 25 years. Barbara enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, floral arrangement & wreath making, and decorating her home. During younger years, she was very active in the Hill & Hollow Garden Club and Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray & Nellie (Ross) Crouse; husband, J. Leroy Gregis (March 15, 2003); son, Duane L. Gregis (October 4, 2023); brothers, Leonard Crouse & Ronald Crouse; infant sister, Brenda Crouse; brothers-in-law, William Bee, Junior Gregis, & Larry Gregis; sister-in-law, Delores Barker. Barbara is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Darla & Robert Miller; grandchildren, Cody Gregis, Corey Gregis, Amanda (Brian) Summers, & Bryan (Kimberleigh) Miller; one great-grandchild, Owen Summers; siblings, Carolyn Bee, Linda (William) Hogue, Ray (Marilyn) Crouse, Regina (Christopher) Nichols, & Donna (Joseph) Cosgrave; brother-in-law, Frank Gregis; many nieces & nephews Our family is so grateful to the staff & nurses at Danbury Senior Living and Elara Caring Hospice for their kind, loving, compassionate care. Leonard R. Corazzi, 93, passed peacefully at the Community Hospice Truman House with his wife, daughter and son-in-law by his side. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara; daughter, Lori Murphy (Tim); son, Dave Corazzi (Mari); son, Lynn Corazzi (Tina); daughter, Dana Annis (Cliff); 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Leonard was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and was a resident of Canal Fulton after having lived in Belpre, Ohio for 50 years. He was a member of SS Philip and James parish. He was a veteran of the Korean War and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. He was a humble man but was proud to have served his country and often wore a veteran's cap when he was out and about. When strangers would stop and thank him for his service, he would say, "It was a privilege to have served". Mass of Christian Burial will be held SATURDAY, 11:30 am, at SS Philip and James Catholic Church, 412 High St. NE, Canal Fulton with Fr. Kevin McCaffrey celebrant.
