Pearl Salach Obituary

Pearl Louise Salach (nee Priscilla Paul) passed away peacefully April 21, 2023. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert, son Richard, parents Louis and Julia (nee Patchman) Paul and brothers James Paul and William Paul. Priscilla was born on January 11, 1927 to Louis and Julia Paul in East Chicago. She was a resident of the Hessville section of Hammond and a founding member of St. Catherine of Siena Church. She was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society, Eucharistic minister of care and active in parish activities. She was a volunteer at St. Catherine Hospital for four years. After moving to Schererville n 2003, she was an active member of St. Michael Church, volunteering in several ministries. She is survived by four sons Robert of Omaha, NE; Randy (Charice); Ronald of Virginia, Jenks, OK; Timothy (Rebecca), of Muskegon, MI. Also survived by grandchildren Steven (Jill) Peterson; Sara (Eric) Hart; Amy (Brandon) Steagall; Rachel Parks; Rebecca (Wesley) Smith; Renee Salach; Paul Salach; Allison Salach; Olivia Salach; Ryley Salach; Madison Salach; Mariah Salach and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 9:30 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. (1 W. Wilhelm Road; Schererville, IN 46375). She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens.
