Pauline Mary Fischer age 92, Neola, Iowa, passed away September 8th, 2023, at Ramsey Village in Des Moines. Pauline was born, April 28th, 1931, in Council Bluffs to the late William and Loretta (Cavanaugh) Denning and graduated from Shelby High School. On November 19th, 1955, she was united in marriage to Leo Fischer, and they were blessed with five children. Pauline was a long-time member of St. Patrick's Church in Neola and their Altar and Rosary Society, serving many funeral dinners over the years. Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leo in 1992, grandson Brent William Fischer, 3 brothers Gene, Bernard and Mick Denning ,3 sisters Mary Corrine, JoAnn Corrin, and Leona McCarthy. Pauline leaves behind daughters Theresa Lane of West Des Moines, Roberta Lee(Henry) San Luis Obispo, CA; sons Greg (Kathy), Neola, IA; Bernard "Ben"(Deloma) Minden, IA; Andrew (Jill), Council Bluffs, 13 grandchildren 15 great-grandchildren, sisters Angela McDonald, New Cambria, MO; Kathleen Dermody(Mike), St. Louis, MO; sister-in-law Martha Denning, Council Bluffs, many nieces and nephews.

Dennis Wolter

Age - 77

Dennis Olaf "Toby" Wolter, age 77, passed away in his sleep on December 6, 2023, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, after a long battle with dementia, and a fast decline due to aggressive lung cancer. He was born on December 14, 1945, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to the late Otto and Violet Wolter. Dennis graduated from the Missouri Valley High School in 1964 and went on to serve his country in the US Navy. He enlisted from 1964 to 1968 and was on the USS Dixie during the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge, he married Vicki Henderson in 1978. He enlisted in the Naval Reserve from 1984-2001. Dennis was a welder and boilermaker/mechanic working for Union Pacific Railroad and Tyson Foods. He was incredibly hard working and loved motorcycles, dancing and spending time with his family. Dennis was preceded in death by his sister, Maxine, and his niece Lyn. He is survived by his wife, Vicki; son, Erik Wolter; daughter, Cary Wolter (Brian Goforth); grandchildren, Galen, Audra and Magnolia; sisters, Gaylene, Karen, Luanne, and other loving family and friends. Memorial Service Tuesday, December 12, 11:00 a. m. with a visitation starting an hour prior at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Sharon Prichard

Sharon, born on June 16, 1938, to Joy Clare Polly and Lillie Mae Sierks Polly, spent her early years on a farm in rural Rodney, Iowa, where she was the eldest of six siblings. Following her graduation from Smithland High School in 1956, she relocated to Onawa, Iowa, where she initially worked as a bank teller before marrying Ray Prichard and embarking on a new chapter of her life. In the ensuing years, Sharon embraced the role of mother, raising five children-Pam, Nancy, Steve, Chris, and Dan. After divorcing and a few years in furniture sales, she embarked on a fulfilling career in 1986 as an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Financial Services, until her retirement in 2004. Beyond her professional achievements, Sharon was known for her innate talent for decorating a beautiful home, entertaining and her exceptional hosting skills. An adept bridge player, she added joy and camaraderie to many gatherings. Her warm and welcoming nature extended beyond her immediate circle, earning her a cherished place as a dear friend to many. However, Sharon's true joy was found in the company of family and friends. Her love for them was evident in the countless moments she shared with all her loved ones. From their early years as friends to becoming her sister (in-law) Bev Metcalf was always there for her along with cherished friend Donna Wittland of 60+ years was by her side for many of those events and was always her rock. Whether hosting gatherings, playing bridge, or simply spending quality time together, Sharon's presence enriched the lives of those around her. In addition to her children Pam Jensen (Craig), Nancy Crist (Kevin), Steven Prichard (Beth), Chris Prichard (Kim), and Daniel Prichard (Lori), she was the grandmother to Meggan Jensen, Tera Jensen Sanders (Justin), Megan Prichard Brabec (Brian), Aimee Prichard Pryor (Tom), Blake Jensen (Jasmin), Courtney Prichard Lovely (Jim), Kena Crist Meyer (Matthew), Janelle Prichard Dubay (Tyler), Moryssa Prichard, Cole Jensen, Emily Prichard Johnson (Taylor), Ky Crist, Garrett Prichard, Cheyanne Prichard, Brianna Prichard, Lukas Prichard, Cydney Prichard: 21 great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial visitation will be at the Hoy-Kilnoksi Funeral Home on Sunday December 17, 2023, from 2:00 p. m. to 4:00 p. m. with special remarks at 3:00 p. m. Corwyn L. Gray, age 86, passed away peacefully at Northcrest Living Center after a bout with dementia on December 5, 2023. He was born June 3, 1937, to the late Frank and Lula (Lee) Gray in Malvern, IA. Corwyn attended Abraham Lincoln High School and then worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He retired from the Council Bluffs Police Department as a Lieutenant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gwendolyn Gray; siblings, Jane Perry, Ernie Gray, and Ralph Gray. Corwyn is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna Gray; children, LuCynda (Pete) Worms-Albino and Jeffrey (Karen) Gray; grandchildren, Josh (Susan) Ely, Justin (Sarah) Ely, Chris (Stacey) Worms, Jennifer (Joe) Polak, Brook (Dan) Bowles, and Dustin (Nikki) Gray; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Daisy Goodwin

Age - 88

Daisy Mae Goodwin was born on May 31, 1935 to Beulah and Bill Stanley in Washita county Oklahoma. She was raised in western Oklahoma where she attended high school in Burns Flat. She graduated in 1953 and married her high school sweetheart Clifford Goodwin that same year. Daisy and Clifford raised five children: Dennis, Donna, Deborah, DeeAnna, and Doris. Clifford's career took the family to Imperial California where Daisy worked as an instructional aid in the Imperial school district and El Centro high school. They both retired in 1987 and shortly after relocated back to Weatherford Oklahoma. They remained happily married for 67 years until Clifford's passing in 2020. Throughout their lives, Daisy and Clifford enjoyed traveling with their family on long summer camping trips in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The family also spent most summers camping, hiking and swimming in the Laguna Mountains of Southern California, along with many side trips to the beaches of San Diego. Daisy was an avid seamstress. She was known for making clothing for teachers and locals in her community. She made over 75 quilts and gifted many to friends and family. Daisy passed away peacefully on November 22, 2023 in the home of her daughter DeeAnna in Carter Lake Iowa. She is survived by her daughters Donna, Deborah, DeeAnna, and Doris; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Carrol E. Childs, age 93, passed away peacefully at Northcrest Living Center on November 24, 2023. He was born June 24, 1930, to the late Hall and Avis Childs on the family farm near McClelland, IA. Carrol graduated from Underwood High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching his grandsons race go-karts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Childs; son, Barry Childs; sisters, Lorraine Mann, Bernadine Grove, and Eloise Ryan. Carrol is survived by his daughter-in-law, Cary Childs; grandsons, Brandon Childs, Jordan Childs, and Cameron Childs; nieces, nephews, and cousins. As per Carrol's wishes, there will be no services.
