Thomas Dean Mansfield1961-2024The sun has set on an amazing life.Thomas Dean Mansfield began his Heavenly journey home on February 19th, 2024.Thomas was born in the summer of 1961, on July 22nd. He was the blessing of the late Lawrence and Lola Ann Riddle Mansfield. He attended school in South Point, OH until his family moved to Kentucky. Thomas graduated in 1979 from Paul Blazer High School and furthered his education at Ashland Community and Technical College. Thomas served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He took care of his community as a Phlebotomist at Kings Daughters Medical Center. Thomas loved sports, and enjoyed cheering on the KY Wildcats, enjoying a Reds Game, and watching his beloved Bengals play. When he wasn’t watching sports, you could often find him out on the golf course playing 18 holes. Even though Thomas had a love for sports and golf, it was his children and grandchildren that was his favorite past time. He loved being a father and papaw to his babies. Thomas had a caring soul and a loving heart. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the love he left behind and the fond stories of him that will be shared throughout the years.Thomas leaves behind his two sons, TJ Mansfield and his wife Alexandra of Ashland, KY, and Steven and Alexis Mansfield also of Ashland, KY, Two beloved grandchildren Roman and Theodore Mansfield, one brother David Mansfield of Ashland, KY, and one sister Roberta Parker and her husband John of Ashland, KY. Also surviving are many extended family members and friends.A funeral service to honor the life of Thomas will be held on Monday, February 26th, 2024, beginning at 1pm at Neal Funeral Home, located at 2409 Center Street, Catlettsburg, KY, with Pastor Heath Bower officiating the service. Visitation from friends and family will be held prior to the service from 11am to 1pm. Brian Keith Withrow, 47, of Ashland formerly of Grayson went to be with his Lord Saturday February 17, 2024 at his residence. Brian was born November 7, 1976 in Ashland, KY a son of Debbie Lynn Glass Kirk and the late, Ronnie Keith Withrow. Brian served his country honorably in the US Navy, after graduating from East Carter High School in 1995. After the military, Brian went on to work as a Boilermaker with the local 105. Brian was currently active with the Volunteers of America, to help his fellow veterans. Brian was a member of the Eagles club, known for his carpentry skills, enjoyed fishing and working on cars. In addition to his mother Brian is survived by a half-sister, Amanda Withrow; a half-brother, Aaron Withrow; and a host of friends and extended family who all mourn his passing. Robert (Bob) McKnight

Robert (Bob) McKnight, finished the final race of his life at Kings Daughters Medical Center surrounded by his beloved family. Bob was the son of Billy Robert McKnight & Barbara McKnight Caudill of Catlettsburg, KY. He is preceded in death by his Father, Billy Robert McKnight, his step-father, George Caudill, and his nephew, Blake Lenarz. He is survived by his devoted, loving mother, Barbara Caudill as well as his two sisters, Pamela Howard (Timothy) & Gidget Cordial (Jeff Franklin), nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews. Bob graduated Boyd County High School in 1972 and then attended the University of Kentucky. Bob started his career as a jockey in 1977 which developed into his lifetime love of thoroughbreds. He spent his early years riding in New York at Aqueduct & Belmont Park, in New Jersey at The Meadowlands, and going on to travel extensively, racing as far away as Jamaica. Bob eventually came to work the racetracks closer to home such as Churchill, Keeneland, Turfway, River Downs, & Beulah Park, which allowed his family to enjoy getting to watch him ride. Bob was no stranger to the Winner's Circle, he had hundreds of wins throughout a career that spanned over four decades. After he retired as an active jockey, he continued to be involved in all other facets of thoroughbred racing. Bob assisted with training, exercising, and caring for race horses. Bob's other passions included cheering on the Cincinnati Reds and the University of Kentucky Wildcats. He especially enjoyed watching the games with his mom. Bob was a member of the Elks club, BPOE #350. He will be greatly missed by his family & friends. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7. Per his request, there will be no services, but a celebration of life will be held at a later date. All that we love deeply becomes part of us." – Helen KellerElizabeth Joyce Pinkerman Lemaster, age 83, of Ashland, KY, went home to her Heavenly Kingdom on February 14th, 2024, at Kings Daughters Medical Center.Elizabeth was born on a warm summer’s day on July 4th, 1940. She was the blessing of the late Charles Russell and Recie Sebastian Pinkerman. Elizabeth attended Thomas R. Brown High School. She made keeping a loving home her life’s work. Elizabeth believed the way to her little family’s hearts was through their bellies. Her son remembers fondly her always asking if they were hungry. “Let me fix you something to eat.” She would say in her most loving way. Elizabeth always kept her idle hands busy with cross stitch or quilting. She had a creative heart. Whenever she could she escaped on a little drive. The road is where she would find peace of mind. Elizabeth was a true example of what a loving wife, mother, and sister should be. She will be missed beyond measure but remembered fondly through stories for years to come.Elizabeth leaves behind one loving son Douglas Lemaster of Willowwood, OH, one beloved granddaughter Katie Lemaster, two devoted sisters Diana King of Ashland, KY and Kathy Powell and her husband Richard of Catlettsburg, KY, and one brother Robert “Bob” Pinkerman and his wife Eunice of Catlettsburg, KY. Lucille “Lucy” Jackson Diamond of Catlettsburg, Ky passed away on February 15, 2024 at Community Hospice in Ashland at 71 years old. Lucy was the sixth of ten children born to Clarence and Sarah “Ruby” Lee Jackson, who have preceded her in death. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Danny Joe Diamond; daughter Tracie McCall and son-in-law Brandon Shane of Key West, Florida; son Danny Diamond Jr and grandson Carter Logan Diamond. She was preceded in death by brothers Homer and Millard Jackson. Surviving siblings are Sherla Triplett of Obetz, OH, Don (Joy) Jackson of Carroll, OH, James “Speedy” (Gwinn) Jackson, Elmer Jackson, Junior (Angie) Jackson, Cleve Jackson, and Harold “Butch” (Debbie) Jackson of Louisa, KY. Lucy graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1971 and later attended Huntington Business College and Ashland Vocational School. She began her over 40 year career with Geiger Speech and Hearing Centers, eventually the Hearing Center, from which Lucy retired in 2017. Lucy impacted countless lives as Treasurer of the Catlettsburg Boyd Optimist Club. She volunteered managing concessions at the park, running their charitable bingo games at the Steel workers hall and delivering holiday meals and presents to those in need. Lucy was elected to the first ever Site Based Council for Boyd County High School in 1995. Visitation will be at the Wilson Funeral Home in Louisa on Friday, February 23 from 4 – 9pm, and Saturday February 24 from 10 am - noon. Funeral service will be at noon, followed by interment at the family cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. 1948-2024 Charles Franklin “Tim” Fultz, 75, entered into rest on February 13, 2024, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY. He was born June 18, 1948, in Grayson, KY to the late Willis and June “Gigi” Carrol Fultz. Tim was a laborer mostly in the steel industry, and he finished up his career and retired from Armco in Ashland, KY. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a member of the Olive Hill American Legion #138. Tim was a huge NASCAR and UK Basketball fan, and he also enjoyed reading western novels. His lighthearted and fun personality made him the best joke and story teller. His family loved to be drawn into his stories only to have an unexpected punchline take them by surprise. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Jalen Nichols; one sister, Gayla James; two infant sisters; one brother, Gerald Kent Fultz, and one infant brother. Tim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paulette Fultz; one daughter, Kelli Fultz (Tracey Elliott); his mother-in-law, Virginia Luncan; his two favorite nieces, Kim Hay and Karri Hamilton; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Canafax, and Amy Canafax; and four brothers-in-law, Tony Canafax, Andy Canafax, John Canafax, and John James. In addition to these, Tim will be greatly missed by a host of other friends and family members who will cherish his memory. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18 , 2024, at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with Robert W. Miller officiating. Freda Lois Ingles, 72, of Ashland, went home to be with the Lord on February 14, 2024 She was born in Ashland, Kentucky on September 2, 1951, to the late James Harvey and Evelyn McCalvin Ingles. In addition to her parents, two sisters, Florine Ingles and Ella Faye Ingles Kimmle, preceded her in death. Freda was a 1970 graduate of Russell High School. She graduated from King’s Daughters School of Nursing with as Licensed Practical Nurse and furthered her education at Marshall University where she graduated as Registered Nurse and BSN. She proudly served and cared for veterans at Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center and retired after a lengthy career as Chief of Nursing. Although she never had children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. Those left to cherish her memory brother, Fred Ingles (Lynn) of Ashland; include a sister, Mary Ingles of Ashland; nephew, Jason “B.J.” Kimmle; nieces, Laci Ingles Hammond (Mark), Lindy Ingles Ashby (Brian), and Jamie Kimmle Crisel (B.J.); great nieces and nephews, Haley VanHoose (Chase), Breanna Kimmle (Isaac), James Ingles, Tanner Ashby, Kyah Hammond, Ella Diane Crisel and Blake Hammond; and a host of extended family members and dear friends. A celebration of Freda’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL beginning with the Nurses Honor Guard of the River Cities and followed with words of comfort provided by Marcus Blake.
