Paula Jean Jordan, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Creekside Village, Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Hagerstown. Born August 29, 1943 in Martinsburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lester Edward and Betty Lee (Pettigrew) Hamby. Paula is survived by her husband of 58 years, Nevin Jordan; daughter, Angela Allen, and husband Robert; grandchildren, Audrey and Owen Allen; sister, Karen Hamby; and brothers, Lester and Michael Hamby. She is preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Fox and brother, Terry Hamby. Paula was recognized as a thoughtful, generous, and funny individual who brought joy to all those who had the privilege to know her. She was a 1961 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. For most of her career, she was a dedicated payroll clerk for EJ Fennel, a clothing manufacturer in Hagerstown. Her dedication and commitment to her profession were always evident, because of her meticulous attention to detail and her unwavering reliability. Paula's interests varied. She loved going to the beach with family. Shopping was another favorite hobby of hers, whether it was for the latest fashion trends, unique pieces to add to her home decor, or anything her grandchildren wanted. Paula also had a passion for cooking. She enjoyed cooking for others and making family recipes. Paula was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and her love for her family. She had an infectious laugh that came with lots of witty phrases and her ability to make others laugh. Her passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in our memories and in our hearts. Graveside services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, 17636 W. Washington St. Hagerstown, MD. Chaplain Duane Musgrove will officiate. The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. , Hagerstown, MD, on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from 6-8 pm. Memorial Donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 1710 Underpass Way, Ste. 300, Hagerstown, MD 21740. Special heartfelt thank yous go out to the wonderful staff at Hospice of Washington County and the caring, thoughtful, and dedicated nurses and aids that cared for Paula over the past 18 months. You all will always hold a special place in our hearts!

Hagerstown, MD - Daniel Clinton "Danny" Mills, 55, of Hagerstown, MD passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family after a brief battle with cancer. He was born on October 19, 1968, in Hagerstown, Maryland to the late David Leo and Betty Louise (Mongan) Mills. Danny attended Williamsport High School until 1985. He retired from the State Highway Administration as a heavy equipment operator, where he plowed snow and provided road maintenance. In his free time, Danny enjoyed spending time with his family and teaching his kids about working on cars, hunting, and fishing. He also enjoyed taking his family to car shows, hanging out, doing bonfires, and watching movies. Danny is survived by his wife of over 24 years, Michelle; daughter Grace Mills and her boyfriend Spenser Lane; son Daniel Leo Mills. He also had his bonus children belonging to his wife that he loved and raised as his own, Courtney Jansson and her boyfriend Eric Hendershot, Bryce Cosier and his wife Toni, and Cody Mason. Danny was lucky enough to be a pappy to Abel Mason, Riley Mason, Caiden Shaw, Colton Cosier, and the light of his life Evelynne Mills. He is also survived by his brothers David Mills (Melanie), Jimmy Mills (Nioga), Benny Mills, and Jeff Mills. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs Jake and Moonshine that meant the world to him. Danny was even a foster parent to many strays over the years which loved him like family and looked up to him. Besides his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his boss Dave Rauth along with is wife Nancy earlier in the year. There will not be any services as Danny wanted to be cremated but there will be a celebration of life in the summer of 2024. Ellsworth (Nick) Owen Wolff, 93, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Williamsport Retirement Village. Born on June 29, 1930, in Amberson, PA, he was the son of the late Owen S. and Annie (Burke) Wolff. Nick was an avid golfer and had many fond golfing memories and cherished golf buddies. He was also a life-long Washington Commanders Fan. Nick graduated from Hagerstown High School, Class of 1948, and served two years in the United States Air Force. He was an experienced typesetter and retired at a proofreader from the Government Printing Office in Washington, DC. Nick is survived by his daughter, Betty Lou Noble and her husband Tom of Raleigh, NC; stepson, David Maginnis and his wife Deanna of Myersville, MD; stepson, Shawn Maginnis of Hedgesville; stepson Chirs Maginnis of Deerfield Beach, FL; eight grandchildren, Tera Nelson, Erin Noble, Matthew Maginnis, Joseph Maginnis, Paul Maginnis, Jennifer Einherst, Kristin Zummo, and Dillon Maginnis, three great-grandchildren, Cole Zummo, Caroline Zummo, and Luke Maginnis, nephew, James Springer, and niece, Kathy Carbaugh. In addition to his parents, Nick is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Beverly (Maginnis) Wolff, sister, Julia Springer, stepson, Todd Maginnis, and grandson, Patrick Maginnis.
