On August 17, 2023, surrounded by family, Paula Elizabeth Ballesteros passed away at St. Michaels Medical Center at age 63. Paula was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 7, 1960, and grew up outside of Wichita in the small town of Petrolia, Texas. Bailing hay and running combines were part of her many duties on her parents' farm. After high school Paula was awarded an associates business degree in Wichita and moved to Houston, Texas. She migrated to Stillwater, Oklahoma where she attended Oklahoma State University. Fate eventually brought Paul and her son Charlie to Washington State where she met and married her husband, Ron. Paula's work experience included being a Sales Manager for Kitsap Newspaper Group, college recruitment for a school in Arizona and selling real estate advertising for the Peninsula Gateway in Gig Harbor, Washington. Her success in newspaper advertising and recruitment paid dividends as that experience laid the foundation for her success in real estate. She found her niche, flourished as a Real Estate Broker for Priority One Realty, and was later forced to retire because of health concerns. In retirement Paula loved her bling and styling with trendy clothing. Paula's interest included working out to YouTube videos, of course shopping, tending to her outside flowers and decorating her home inside and out. Every holiday was special as Paula's creativity was showcased with her spectacular displays, especially during Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Courage is the word that best describes Paula as she confronted many obstacles. Since 2007 Paula had looked lung cancer in the eye and never let it define her. An aggressive mutation was what caused her passing. Throughout, she remained a classy, kind, positive uplifting spirit whose soul projected a zest for life that will never cease. Paula was a beautiful special woman whose inspiration touched all she met. She was the bravest of the brave and will be dearly missed. Paul was preceded in passing by her parents Haskell and Samie Harrison. She is survived by her husband of 32 years Ron, son Charlie, daughters Yolanda, Victoria (Jeff), Brother Howard (Lisa) of Houston, Texas, Sister Belynda of Petrolia, Texas, Sister Katy Joe of Petrolia, Texas, Grandchildren Mia, John Jr. , Alicia, Lara Lee, Lilly, Vera and Joel, great-grandchildren JP, Athena, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. Celebration of life will be forthcoming. Arrangements entrusted to Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton, Washington.
