Sharon Titsworth

Sharon Titsworth

Age - 76

December 5, 2023

Sharon Elaine Brackenridge Titsworth was born on April 15th, 1947 and passed away peacefully at the age of 76, surrounded by family, on December 2, 2023. She was born to Marvin Earl Brackenridge and Doris Lee McKinney at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Sharon recounts going to church when she was a young girl, and watching evangelist Billy Graham on television. At one point, feeling called by the Lord, she went to her bedroom, knelt beside her bed and asked Christ into her heart. After several years, she got up the courage to share this decision with her church, Cedar Temple Baptist Church in Oakcliff, and was baptized shortly after. Sharon was adamant that others know the grace of Jesus Christ she had received. In her life, she admitted mistakes and struggles, but never questioned her faith in Christ and God's love for her. She also wanted to encourage others to understand depression and anxiety as something to work through, and not a lack of faith. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ricky Lee Brackenridge. She is survived by her loving husband David Titsworth, to whom she was married on May 22, 1970. She is also survived by her sons Brian Titsworth and wife Kasey, Craig Titsworth and wife Tara; by her grandchildren David Kent Titsworth, Molly Titsworth, and Layton Titsworth. She was blessed to watch all three grandchildren when they were babies, and loved her family very much. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, money be donated to Lake Highlands Baptist Church for the furtherance of the salvation of the lost and encouragement of the saints.Show more
