Marjorie (Herceg) Copenhaver, 84 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.Born on June 17, 1939, in Jefferson Township, PA a daughter of the late Michael Herceg and Barbara (Tomasko) Herceg Olenick. After Michael Herceg was killed in a coal mining accident at Marjorie’s age of four, she was blessed with a second father in Joseph Olenick whom also preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, Jackie Lee “Jack” Copenhaver on August 13, 2020, a grandson, Max Copenhaver Bailey; four siblings, Vivian Kosarik, Barbara “Dolly” Whitco, Michael Thomas Herceg, and Mary Catherine Allas.Marjorie was very proud of being a coal miner’s daughter and carried that pride throughout her life. Marjorie graduated from Follansbee High School Class of 1957. Marjorie worked as a florist, telephone operator, and insurance office manager but most of all Marjorie’s passion was homemaking and raising her children. Marjorie and Jack taught their family the importance of seeing all people equally. She was a devoted member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, where her faith was very important to her, and she passed that onto her children. She also passed on her love of gardening, flowers, and nature to them. She was known for being an excellent cook and her children always said her secret ingredient was always “Love”.Marjorie is survived by four devoted children, Jamie Copenhaver-Cribbs and husband, Craig of Mingo Junction, OH, Barbara Copenhaver-Bailey and husband, Jeffery of Morgantown, WV, Jacquelynn Copenhaver of Morgantown, WV, and Jack “Doug” Copenhaver of Follansbee, WV; one brother, Joseph Olenick of Colliers, WV; a brother-in-law, Ben “Buck” Copenhaver and wife, Norma and sister-in-law, Phyllis Aria both of Colliers, WV; three grandchildren, Ashley, Clay, and Zeke, and three great grandchildren, Angelina, Dominic, and Christopher; along with numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins.Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 25th from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 6:30 pm at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037 and again on Monday, February 26th from 9:00 am – 9:45 am.A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am with Father Gerald Mouka officiating at St. Anthony Catholic Church 1017 Jefferson St. Follansbee, WV 26037.Interment will follow privately at St. John Haven of Rest Cemetery.Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church or Valley Hospice in memory of Marjorie Copenhaver.Condolences may be sent to: www.mullenbachfh.com

Cheryl Ann Rosso, loving wife, mother, and grandma; 80 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Weirton Medical Center.She was born on December 3, 1943, in Steubenville, OH, a daughter of the late Charles “Chuck” and Jane (Shipley) Sinovcic. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Frank V. Rosso.Cheryl graduated from Steubenville Catholic Central High School. She graduated from WVNCC with an associate's degree as a registered nurse and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Wheeling Jesuit University in nursing as well. Cheryl worked at Weirton Medical Center and the highlight of her career was when she was the Charge Nurse of the Endoscopic unit at WMC. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. In her spare-time she enjoyed spending time with her family and enjoyed the kindness of her daughter-in-law’s family the Newtons and her trips to visit her daughter Karen, son in law Ashley and grandchildren in South Carolina.Cheryl is survived by two children, James (Mary Margaret) Rosso of Wellsburg, WV and Karen (Ashley) Haskins of Summerville, SC; six grandchildren, Dante Rosso of New York City, NY, Isabella, and Sophia Rosso of Wellsburg, WV, Victoria, Anna, and Frank Haskins of Summerville, SC.Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm with a vigil service at 3:45 PM at Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037 and again on Saturday, February 10th from 9:00 am until 9:45 am.A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am with Father Gerald Mouka officiating at St. Anthony Catholic Church 1017 Jefferson Ave. Follansbee, WV 26037.Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Follansbee, WV.Memorial contributions can be made to St. Anthony Catholic Church in memory of Cheryl.

In addition to his parents Silvio is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Paesani; four sisters, Elizabeth Gaudio, Rose Zende, Mary Gasperine, and Philamena Prosperi; one son Michael; and one grandson Christopher Paesani.Silvio was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a millwright and later worked for Follansbee Police Department as a police officer.Silvio is survived by one son, Richard Paesani of Follansbee, WV; four grandchildren, Silvia, Elizabeth, Mike and Richard; five great grandchildren; one sister, Dora Gates of FL; one brother, Andrew (Judy) Paesani, Jr. of Wheeling, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Mullenbach Funeral Home 669 Main St. Follansbee, WV 26037. Esther Mae Rocini, 90 of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at home with her family by her side.Esther was born on May 11, 1933, in Wellsburg, WV, a daughter of the late Owen Dean and Arizona (Gillette) DeGarmo. In addition to her parents Esther is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfonso G. Rocini, Jr; one sister, Martha Virginia DeGarmo; one brother, Walter Dean DeGarmo; and a brother-in-law, Bob Andrews; and a cousin who was like a brother, Harold “Skip” DeGarmo.Esther graduated from Bethany High School. She worked for Hood’s Pharmacy as a pharmacy tech for 40 years + and was a motherly figure to the whole staff. She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and Alter Rosary Society. He was born on April 14, 1930, in Follansbee, West Virginia, to the late Guiseppe and Adele (Fonti) D’Ulisse. In addition to his parents, Nick is preceded in death by his wife, Anita D’Ulisse; his brother, Anthony D’Ulisse; and his sister, Gena Ruggieri. Nick worked as a contractor for Follansbee Steel for many years and was a member of the Garibaldi Lodge and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. Nick was a musician his whole life, playing in different bands in the area. He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Chuck) Spencer; his brother-in-law, Tom (Donna) DeSantis; his grandchildren, Chuck (Jamie) Spencer, Nick Spencer, and Luke (Michelle) Spencer, and his 9 great grandchildren. Gino Anthony Meca, 93 of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully at 9:20 PM on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Liza’s Place – Valley Hospice with his daughters at his side. Gino was born on January 5, 1930 in Follansbee, WV. He was the son of the late James Meca and Louise (Marrocca) Meca. Gino served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp serving overseas as a Private First Class. He worked for 45 years at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as a Boilermaker where he served on committees elected by his rank and file with the Union 1190 helping with safety, grievances and wages. Gino was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, WV, VFW and American Legion serving as past member of the firing squad, Cedar Lodge, Garibaldi Lodge and a life member of the Hooverson Heights and Colliers Sportsman’s Clubs. He was the Elk of the Year in 2005. Many will remember Gino for his love of his garden especially his tomato plants, cooking his red sauce with meatballs, a nice glass of wine and a cold beer; but most of all, his hard work, dedication and his devoted love of his daughters. In addition to his parents, Gino was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Lou (McFadden) Meca, three siblings, Joseph Meca, Rose Ferguson and Stella Panella and a sister-in-law, Nina Meca. Gino is survived by his three daughters, Gina, Cynthia and JoLynn (Michael Leo) Meca, a grandson, Carlito Gilchrist and his wife, Courtney, a great granddaughter, Daela Gilchrist, a brother, James “Honey” Meca, and several nieces and nephews. Justin graduated from Washington High School and worked as a line cook for Texas Roadhouse. He was Methodist by faith. In his spare-time he enjoyed listening to music and hanging out with friends. He is survived by two uncles, Tony (Nancy) Pienkosky of Ambridge, PA, John T. (Jill) Craig, Jr. of Ambridge, PA, and an aunt, Virginia Matijevich of Burgettstown, PA, along with several cousins.
