Paul Settimo Obituary

Paul Settimo was born February 27, 1939 in Balestrate, Sicily; the eldest of 5 children born to Giovanni Settimo and Giuseppa Brancaleone. Paul immigrated to the United States in 1952, and while in Detroit, Michigan, met Vita Maria Saputo in 1958, they married in 1961. After the birth of their son, John in 1962, and daughter Josephine in 1963, the family relocated to Southern California, where their son Joe was born in 1968. Paul and Vita's long time home in La Mirada always had an open door, cup of coffee and good conversation (Paul's specialty) for any friends and family visiting from near and far. Paul held a variety of jobs: milkman, ice delivery man, gas attendant, construction worker, bakery delivery, cabinet maker, and retired from the Four-S Baking Company. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and daughter-in-law Carol; is survived by his wife of 62 years, Vita; children John (Noel), Josephine (Tom), Joe (Wendi); grandchildren Aliesa (Dakota), Daniella (Hoang), Tylor, Alexis (Jeffrey), Nicholas; great grandchildren Sadie, Briar and Jasper. Paul's funeral services will be held at Beatitudes of Our Lord Catholic Church in La Mirada on Saturday October 14, 2023: Rosary at 10:30am, Eulogy at 11:00am and Funeral Mass at 11:30am.
