Passed away surrounded by his loving family on February 20, 2024 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 63 years to the late Barbara (nee Velidakis) Veanes; devoted father of Angelo (Monica Peoples), Mary Jo (Gerald) Parker and Jo Ellen (Chris) Scott; adored grandfather of six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; dear brother of Mary (Alex) Katsinis and the late Callie (Chet) Mazur; also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.Tony was a fun-loving guy with an infectious smile and a jack of all trades. An Army photographer during the Korean War, he later became a baby photographer, barber, electrician, and a successful entrepreneur of several family businesses. His favorite gig was flipping houses with his wife before it was even popular. Tony loved carving and woodworking, Dixieland jazz and the Blues, and was an avid golfer who loved teaching others the game. He was an active volunteer at church for many years: working the Greek Festival, building structures for two chapels (one in Ohio and one in Buffalo), and was a member of the golf league. Most recently, Tony became a fixture at the Clarence Senior Center, where he loved spending time in the woodworking shop creating artistic projects and forging new friendships. He brought a smile to the face of everyone who knew him.The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-7 PM with a Trisagion Service at 5:00 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (at Hopkins Rd.). Witkowski, Riley MaeMar. 21, 2020 - Feb. 18, 2024Our precious Angel, Riley Mae Witkowski, beloved daughter of Laci and Michael Witkowski, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was born March 21, 2020 at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to her parents, Riley is survived by her little brother, Parker Elliott Witkowski; grandparents, James and Tamarra (nee Znajmiecki) Klepp, Eddie and Chassity (nee Bohn) Hand; aunts and uncles, Hope and Brett Hand, along with Eric, Adam and Holly Witkowski; several great grandparents, cousins and other relatives who loved Riley very much. Riley was loved by all of her close family, doctors, and therapists. They knew her as a strong and loving girl. She was expressive and sweet with an energy that emanated through the room. Her favorite activities were snuggling and having books read to her. Riley loved listening to her Tonie Music Box, going on bumpy nature walks through parks or trails and spending time with her Bampi. She loved watching Moana on an endless loop and most importantly, getting her "Bacon Shaken". Michael F. Moran, 64, of Jamestown passed away Monday February 19, 2024, at Buffalo General Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born December 2, 1959, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late Edward M. Moran and Janice Olson Moran. Mike was a 1978 graduate of Falconer High School. He had many dreams for his life and always had a business frame of mind. Mike was a retired firefighter having proudly served the Jamestown Fire Department. Alongside his brother, Bruce, he made another dream of his come true as they opened and co-owned Moran's Floor Store and Ashley Home Store in Jamestown. As a member of the Elks Lodge and the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club, Mike made many close friendships throughout the years. He enjoyed his time catching up with his closest friends whenever he had the chance. Most importantly, Mike will be remembered for being the most loving and supportive father and "Bompa" to his grandchildren. His daughters and grandchildren were his life along with his dogs Caine and Bella. Mike was also the most loving and attentive husband as he cared for his late wife for many years. He also made it a priority to take care of any of his friends and family in any way he could. Mike took great pride in his family and his businesses, but his best times were spent with his children and grandchildren. Besides his mother Janice, he is survived by his two daughters Jennifer Moran of Buffalo and Morgan Moran of Jamestown; his three granddaughters: Elise and Anna Johnson, Sophia Napolillo; two brothers Bruce (Sue) Moran, Jeff Moran; sisters-in-law: Amy Grasso, Camille Grasso, Lisa (Jim Mee) Grasso; nieces and nephews: Katie Moran, Kyle (Francesca) Moran, Jennifer (Michael) Soprano, Micaela Cleveland, Eddie Sunquist, Elisa Sundquist, Mitchell Costanzo, Nathan Pike, Michelle (Phil) Benedetto and Michael Bova; great nephews; Jianni Costanzo and Nicholas Soprano. Besides his father Edward, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Grasso Moran whom he married June 10, 1994, and passed away November 28, 2022. The funeral service will be held at 11am Sunday February 25, 2024, in the Lind Funeral Home. Friends will also be received on Saturday February 24th from 1 to 5 pm in the funeral home. Entombment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer. Memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Humane Society

Geoffrey L. Hogan, age 59, of Ransomville died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Geoff was born October 26, 1964 in Ransomville, the son of Edward "Ted" and Sally (Cain) Hogan. He was a 1983 graduate of Wilson High School and received his B.A. from SUNY Geneseo in 1987. Geoff was employed as a case worker at the Niagara County Department of Social Services for whom he has worked for over 30 years. He was a member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company and a member of the Exempt Fireman's Association. Geoff was an avid sports enthusiast, especially of the Dirt Modified Racing Series. He was a huge fan of Fantasy Football, the Buffalo Bills, and the Buffalo Sabres. He also enjoyed vegetable gardening and was known for his jalapeno's. Of all his passions in life Geoff most loved the light of his life, his daughter, Allison. She is his pride and joy. In addition to his daughter, Allison, and his parents, Ted and Sally, he is survived by his sister, Jennifer (Wendell) Lewis and his nephews, Joshua (Rachel) Lewis and Jonathon Lewis. Jessica just recently became certified to be a landscaper, she was apprenticing with Seasonal Lawn Care in W. Seneca, NY. She also was an active member of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary in Silver Creek, NY Jessica was a “Free Spirit” who had a very engaging and caring personality. She loved meeting new people and enjoyed many different types of music. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.
