Brandt Gill

Brandt Gill

Age - 23

December 6, 2023

Brandt Jay Gill, 23, Green Bay, passed away December 1, 2023. The son of Shon and Christine (Farrell) Gill was born on December 15, 1999. Brandt was a graduate of Ashwaubenon High School, Class of '18. Outside of studies, he was a band member, playing the alto saxophone. He also enjoyed his stint as stage crew member for the school musical 'The Sound of Music'. Due to his undeniable physical stamina, he was convinced to try his hand at a couple of sports. After high school, he went on to study philosophy at St. Norbert College. While there, he engaged several willing ears in philosophical conversations or debate. Brandt was an inquisitive deep thinker. He was also a joy to be around and cared immensely for others, even if he could not see it in himself at times. Those who knew him well appreciated his quirky sense of humor, his thoughtfulness, and how he was comfortable just being himself. When he smiled, it was brilliant and lit up his beautiful eyes. In the last year or so, he tirelessly tried to share his message; calling for people to support change to end pain and suffering in this world. Brandt was an organ donor, and it is believed that he found comfort in the hope that he could help others with this gift. This is just one of the many ways in which he was generous. Perhaps his biggest example of the love he had within him was his relationship with his cat, Marco, who loved to be in Brandt's company. Brandt kept his friendship circle small, but valued each of them more than they probably knew. He was an avid gamer and movie collector. He also enjoyed outdoor activities such as longboarding and camping with friends and family. Reading was another pastime. He may not have recognized this, but he was graced with an imaginative mind and a knack for creative writing. In his early years, Brandt loved to go 'bugging'. His supportive brother Collin joined him in attempting to leave no stone or paver unturned. Brandt is survived by his parents; his brother, Collin; grandmother, Julie Farrell; feline friend, Marco; aunts and uncles, Jim (Megan) Farrell, Bonnie Samp, Randy (Cindy) Zander, Cindy Kosky, Pam (Clem) VanBogart, Renee (Ralph) Luedtke, Todd (Karen) Gill, Michelle Schneider, Bob Nechodom Jr. ; as well as cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin (Audrey) Gill, Howard Farrell; aunt, Debbie Nechodom; uncles, Floyd Samp, Daryl Kosky, Dave Schneider. Friends and family are invited to gather at the Cassandra Voss Center on the St. Norbert campus on Friday, December 8, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. A service and time to share memories of Brandt will be held at 7:00 pm. To send online condolences, please visit www. BlaneyFuneralHome. com.
