"Paul J. Koenig, born on April 20, 1930, in El Paso, Texas, gracefully departed this world on October 2, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the beloved son of Robert Koenig and Nora (Kreamer) Koenig and is now reunited with them in eternal peace. Paul was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy, who was his partner in life for many years. \u0026gt; \u0026gt; Paul is survived by his two cherished children, David (with his wife Tina) and DiAnne Mallory. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his six adoring grandchildren: Joshua Robinson (with his wife Kristen), Kaycee Calvert, Katelyn Williams, and Alex (with his wife Lannie) Koenig. His great-grandchildren, Scarlet Williams, Elizabeth Koenig, Reese Robinson, Ellie Robinson, Alexa Calvert, and Kloe Calvert will always carry his memory in their hearts. He also leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends who were touched by his warmth and kindness. \u0026gt; \u0026gt; Paul spent his early years in New Mexico and proudly graduated from New Mexico State University. He served his country as a dedicated Air Force veteran and went on to achieve a successful career as an aerospace engineer for North American Aviation, which later became Rockwell International. His contributions were instrumental in projects such as the Apollo project, the Space Shuttle, B1 Bomber, AGM-28 Hound Dog Missile, and many others. After nearly 36 years of dedicated service, he retired from Rockwell International in 1989. \u0026gt; \u0026gt; Known for his unwavering kindness and gentle spirit, Paul was never the subject of a bad word spoken about him. He was not only a remarkable engineer but also a wonderful father, a loving husband, and a doting grandfather. His quirky sense of humor brought joy to those around him, and he had a unique talent for making everyone feel good in his presence. \u0026gt; \u0026gt; Paul cherished the camaraderie of his peers and enjoyed having lunch on Wednesdays with the Rockwell Lunch Bunch Retirement Group, a testament to his enduring friendships.
