Paul Kenneth Jensen, age 68, died Friday, September 8, 2023 at his home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. A private family graveside will be held at Carney Cemetery in Carney, Oklahoma. Paul was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 4, 1955 to Paul V. and Clara F. (George) Jensen. He was a graduate of C. E. Donart High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma and worked as a cook in Paul's Place, his family's restaurant. He enjoyed playing cards, watching the Chicago Bears, and loved Oklahoma State sports. Members of his family include his sister Karen Thurman; his nieces Rebecca Loomis of Owasso, Oklahoma and Torey Widener of Stillwater; his aunt Kathy Eaton of Edmond, Oklahoma; his great-niece Omie Widener and great-nephews Oskar Widener and Gavin DuBois; and numerous other family members and friends. The family would like to thank special friends LaJohna McDonald and Mel and Dixie Terrill for years of loving support, as well as everyone at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Guthrie and the Life Center staff, including Melissa Kennedy and Jane Carlson. "William Joe Hopfer \u0026quot;Bill\u0026quot;, age 77, was born August 14, 1946, in Guthrie, Oklahoma and passed away November 28, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born to Walter Joe and Fern Hopfer. After graduating from Texas A\u0026amp;M University, Bill served in the United States Army and was stationed at the Panama Canal Zone. Carol joined him in Panama after their wedding in 1971. Following his discharge, Bill and Carol moved to Kansas where he worked for Cities Service at a carbon black plant. From there, the family moved to St. Louis, Missouri where they lived for eight years. Upon their return to Texas, they settled in Keller with their 1-year-old son. Two years later, a daughter followed, and the family was complete. Bill worked for Sid Richardson in Ft. Worth and later worked in Dallas for Endevco, Hunt Energy and TPA. Later in his career, he worked for Bob Short and Sons, eventually buying out the company with several others, forming Tri Tex Technologies in 2001. He remained a principal owner in the company until it was sold in 2014, when he happily embraced retired life. Bill enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and woodworking. One of his favorite pastimes was traveling across the country with relatives, visiting national parks and making memories. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Carol Hopfer; children, Greg Hopfer and his wife Kate, Christy Gail and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Trey Gail, Sydney Gail, Lexi Gail and Daniel Hopfer; brother-in-law, Timothy Mosman and his wife Olivia; sister-in-law, Rebecca Edwards; brother-in-law, Thomas Mosman and his wife Pam; brother-in-law, Jerome Mosman and his wife Cheryl and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Nora Elizabeth Moad, 80, of Guthrie, Oklahoma was born May 5, 1943 in Enid, Oklahoma to Elza C. and Bessie L. (Smith) Jones and was raised in California until the age of 12 when she returned to Oklahoma. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Guthrie where she loved the staff and enjoyed living there. She was married at the age of 20 to Horace Moad and Nora called Germany home during Horace's active duty. After a couple years she returned to Enid to raise her children. Nora is preceded in death by her husband, Horace (Jerry); sons, Travis and Timothy; parents, Elza and Bessie; sister, Trisha and husband, Darrell Boon; Robert Wright; and her grandparents. She is survived by daughter, Tammy Williams and husband, Dee; their children, Marylin, Brandon, Heather, Jonathan, and their spouses and children; daughter Teresa Anceravige and husband, Tony; their children, Brandan, Chris, Michael, Cameron, and their spouses and children; and daughter Trista Gilbert and husband, David; their children, Holy, Tyler, Zach, their spouses and children. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. , Saturday December 2, 2023 at Guthrie Christian Church with interment following at Summit View Cemetery. A funeral service for Bob Osborn, 82, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a. m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with David Vineyard officiating. Bobby Glen Osborn was the oldest living child, following the passing of an infant sister, of Glen Asbury Osborn and Wanna Fae (Robertson) Osborn, and was born August 5, 1941, in Pocasset, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on Thursday, November 23, 2023 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Bob grew up in Pocasset helping on the family's dairy farm. He graduated from Pocasset High School in 1959 and had never missed a day of school and was the catcher on the school's baseball team. On June 30, 1961, he married Tresa Nan Shipp and they had a daughter Penny and a son Kirk. They shared 58 years of marriage before her passing in March of 2020. Bob worked for Lufkin Oilfield Division setting pumping units and then transitioned to oilfield sales. He then worked in oilfield sales for Leamco. Eventually, he started his own company, Osborn Pumping Unit Repair, based out of Hennessey. He and Tresa returned to the Chickasha area and began farming. Throughout the 70's and 80's he enjoyed showing horses. He was very outspoken with his opinions and a strong-willed man. He could be the life of the party and had always loved music, playing his guitar since he was a young man. He loved wheat farming and farm equipment, and enjoyed going to farm auctions. He was preceded in death by both parents and his wife Tresa, sister LaWanna Jo Osborn, brother Ricky Frank Osborn, great-grandson Brady Glen Benson, and nephew Jonathan Michael Osborn. Loved ones left to remember him are his daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Tim Gooch of Guthrie; son Kirk Osborn of Guthrie; sisters Donna McDaniel of Pocasset and Glenda Richardson of Pocasset; grandchildren Brooke Benson and husband Brian of Coyle, Clayton Furlong of Perkins; bonus granddaughters Katy Gooch, Abby Gooch, Colton Cain and Orrin Cain; and great-grandsons Dominic, Blake, Jameson, and Ryan; nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OK 4-H Foundation, Brady Glen Benson Memorial Scholarship, and mailed to 505 Agriculture Hall, Stillwater, OK 74078. William R. (Bill) Hightower, age 78, of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on November 8, 2023, in Guthrie. He was born on August 15, 1945, in Sidney, Arkansas to Fred and Edna (Mynatt) Hightower. Bill lived in Guthrie most of his life, he lived in the Masonic Childrens Home for many years and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1965. He married Joan Hatchett in Chickasha, Oklahoma in 1967. Bill worked at Midwest Publishing as a printer. He went on to UCO and worked in the printing department and retired in 2007. Bill was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. He was 32nd Degree Mason and enjoyed watching football and camping. Survivors include his wife Joan of the home in Guthrie. son Scott Hightower and wife Dee Dee of Guthrie, daughter Pennie Birt and husband Jeff of Crescent, 2 sisters Maxine Holdge of Ft. Cobb and Francene Peterson and husband Carl of Mt. Pleasant, AR, 2 brothers Jerry Hightower and wife Angie of Tennessee and Jack Hightower of Batesville, AR. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Amber, Brandon and Cory, 5 step grandchildren, Bobbi, Kelli, Wendell, Skylar and Rachel, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters Alene and Nadine and 1 brother Jimmy. Services will be held at 2:00 P. M. , on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the First Southern Baptist Church with Paston Greg Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at Summit View Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday from 12:00 P. M. until 7:00 P. M. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00.Show more
