Paul Gonzalez Obituary

Paul S. Gonzalez, age 74, passed away on May 6, 2023. Paul S. Gonzalez was born on June 29, 1948 to Adela and James Gonzalez. He attended Jefferson High School in San Antonio, Texas. He was drafted into the Navy in 1967, where he received his GED, and served during the Vietnam War. Paul was employed as an AFSCME International Union Representative for more than 40 years. Paul enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling, WWE, and shopping at HEB. He will always be remembered for his hard work and devotion to his family. Paul was a devoted Christian, proud Veteran, and a fine example of a true gentleman. He was a loving father, step-father, husband, brother, and friend. Paul Gonzalez is preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Adela Gonzalez, and his brother Jesse Gonzalez. Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years, Lynn Gonzalez; his daughter Veronica "Bonnie" (Corey) Spengler, son Loren Jaramillo (Misty Daughters), son Aaron (Joy) Jaramillo, daughter Rebekah (Thomas) Gonzalez; and his Grandchildren: Vincenzo, Gianna, Leia, and Steven Jaramillo; Devon & Floyd Daughters. He is also survived by his sister Diana Garza. A memorial service will be held at Solid Rock Church, 4922 Yorktown Blvd. , on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 6:00 p. m. A military funeral service and interment will be Thursday, June 29 at 10:00 a. m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
