Patricia has left the building to be with her one true love, Roy. Their love was forever, married for 55 years. What an incredible gift to each other to be able to go through good times and bad, always knowing they could make it, no matter what. We know when Patricia reached heaven on February 27, 2024, at the age of 89 where Roy was waiting there for her, with Fats Domino playing Blueberry Hill for their first dance, hug, and kiss.Patricia Schouest Hunter was a native of Bourg, Louisiana, and a resident of Marrero for 67 years. Beloved wife of 55 years to the late Roy M. Hunter, mother of Tammy Anderson (Gerald), Dan Hunter (Laura) and the late Dean Hunter. Proud grandmother of Lacie Pickard (Layton), Ashley Smith (Mike), Cody Hunter (Marisa), Alexandra Leto (Zack) and Abby Hunter. Great-grandmother of Carter, Reese, Gavin, Sawyer, Henley, Marlowe, Weslyn, Luca, Maggie and Aria. Sister of Numa Schouest and Mealie Davis.She is preceded in death by her husband Roy M. Hunter; her parents Fortuna Schouest and Odette Rogers Schouest; six sisters, Clarice LeBlanc, Janice Daspit, Faye Schouest, Brenda Bateman, Geneva Marcel and Jody Schouest; and two brothers, Van and Gregorey Schouest.Pat was an employee of Jefferson Parish School System, Department of Transportation as a bus monitor. She also was an avid member of the Harvey Golden Age Club of Jefferson for 34 years. Barbara O’Leary Savoie was called to Heaven on February 28, 2024 at the age of 82. She died at home, peacefully and among family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis O’Leary and Cecile Landry O’Leary. She was survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Eugene Michael Savoie; her daughter, Gina Savoie Montgomery (Byron); her grandchildren, Mallory Montgomery and Carl Montgomery; her sister, Beverly O’Leary Parks (Melvin); her nieces and nephews, Denise Parks Keller (Ted), Michael Parks (Melissa), Lesley Parks LeGlue (Kurt); and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. Barbara was a teacher by profession and retired from Visitation of Our Lady School in Marrero, Louisiana after teaching for over 40 years. She was well-loved by her students and touched many lives. She loved crocheting, painting, playing video poker, and spending time with her family. Barbara was a loving woman with no demands, who simply enjoyed life. She made the world a better place while she was here, and while she is in a better place now, she will be sorely missed. Alton Joseph LeBouef Corporal Alton Joseph LeBeouf, better known as "Dego" and "Al," was born on March 2, 1943, to Nicholas and Odette LeBeouf. Alton passed away on February 17, 2024, at West Jefferson Medical Center LCMC in Marrero, Louisiana. Al and his family resided in Marrero, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife, Djuana LeBoeuf; his sons Nicholas LeBoeuf (Melissa), Caleb LeBoeuf, and his bonus son Antonio Joseph; daughters Angell Merrill and A’leah Greff; grandsons Nicholas LeBeouf, Jaleel Harris, and Hassan Foreman; granddaughters Katie Dunagan (Brandon) and Kaylee Batiste; and great-grandson Weston Julian Dunagan. He is also survived by his brothers Nolan LeBoeuf, Ferdinand Breaux, and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by siblings Thomas LeBeouf and Mary Ann LeBeouf. Al was a creative individual and man of many talents, besides being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He served his country and achieved the rank of E4 in the United States Army. He was also a boxer with the Westwego Athletic Club. Al graduated from Jefferson Welding School. He was a card-carrying union member of Local 60 Plumbers and Steamfitters. Al was a master welder and served as a foreman for several companies, including Nuclear Power Plant, Shell Oil, Brown and Root Industrial Services, and McDermott Engineering. Al worked on several pipelines on Peters Road in Avondale Shipyard, Grand Isle, and the Bahamas. He was an entrepreneur, owning Al’s Trucking Service and Dump Trucks, L and M Truck Cleaning Service, B and B Grocery Store, Pomes Hoghead Cheese, and Rainbow Laundromat. Al was a loving man and a compassionate soul who always cared for the well-being of others. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering concern for those around him touched the lives of all who knew him. The memories of his warmth, laughter, and endless love will forever remain in our hearts. Al's absence leaves a profound void in our lives, but his legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire us. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished for generations to come. Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, hard worker, strong willed woman and wonderful example for her family. She was a very proud five generation Matriarch of the family. She worked in the insurance industry for over 55 years until retirement at the age of 88. She was a devout parishioner of Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church parish since 1969. She loved her trips to the casino and an avid penny machine enthusiast.
