Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Sandhills Wesleyan Church of Bennettsville with burial in Steen Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 1:00-2:00 p. m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. Born in Dillon County, SC, October 14, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Jacobs and Mollie McGirt Petty. She was a member of Sandhills Wesleyan Church of Bennettsville. Survivors include her brothers and sisters, Robert Petty (Cindy) of Christianburg, VA, Loretta Diaz (Antonio) of Little Rock, Wanda Merritt of Latta, and James Jacobs of Largo, FL. Mrs. Steen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny James Steen; sisters, Toni Caldwell, Venus McDowell, and Geneva Merritt; and her brother, Dale Jacobs.
