Patricia Moury Obituary

Patricia L Moury, 86, passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 in her home in Lancaster. She is survived by her children, Michelle (Mike) Haenszel, Todd (Kristyn) Moury, Kristi (Andy) Stalker, and Kim (Geoff) Hueil. She was the proud granny to 12 grandchildren: Kendal Valesko, Ally Valesko, Alayna (Gabe) Castaneda, Andrea (Paul) Spankie, Amanda Moury, Jenna (Anthony) Edwards, Brent Moury, Liam (Joanne) Stalker, Aidan (Anna) Stalker, Ben, Adam, and Abby Hueil. She also adored her 5 sweet great grandchildren. She was born and raised in Bremen, Ohio, the daughter of Tom and Nellie Hickman. Pat graduated from Rushcreek Memorial High School in 1955. After high school, she was employed by Diamond Power, the Girl Scout Association, and Gummer Wholesale. In her younger years, she volunteered her time teaching Sunday school at Calvary Lutheran Church, serving on many PTO committees, leading multiple Girl Scout Troops, supporting her family through the Lancaster Soap Box Derby and Lancaster High School Band Boosters. Later in life, she cared for her husband as he lost his battle with cancer. Her lifelong joy was caring for her kids and their families. She spent her final years tending to her gorgeous flower beds, visiting with neighbors, reconnecting with old friends on Facebook, rooting for her Buckeyes and watching the birds in her front window. Funeral services will be held 1:30p Thursday April 27, 2023 at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Forest Rose Cemetery. Guests may visit with the family from 12 to 1:30p Thursday at the funeral home.
