Rachel Rousselle

Age - 67

December 9, 2023

Rachel LaBrie Rousselle, age 67, passed away at the Catholic Medical Center, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on March 24, 1956. First let me say, I had a good life. I fell into a career at as an Ultrasound Technologist and worked at Catholic Medical Center for 40 plus years. I never worked a day in my life, loved what I did and worked with some great people. Nancy, Pam, Deb; later on there were others, too, and you know who you are. There was the "Fab Four," consisting of me, Sue, Monique and Carmel, all high school friends. I knew Sue since kindergarten and she taught me the act of contrition in French. Monique, we had parallel lives. Two great kids, one awesome grandchild. Carmel was our go-to girl. If she didn't know, she knew someone who did. I grew up in a home with lots of love. I had wonderful parents and wonderful siblings. Roger, remember the hot sauce? Don, who let me play with his cool erector set. Pierre, a sensitive guy, nearly passed out in church. At 17 years old, when you saw a co-worker from Alexander's deli department whose hand was bandaged up. Irene was my best friend. There are not enough words. That which gave meaning to my life, my daughters; Marie and Alynn. Marie was quiet, not shy, and always got her turn. She was adventurous, loved nature and was by far a wonderful mother. You and Jared gave me the most precious gift of all, that sweet boy, Dylan. I would say call me if you need anything, Marie. That won't be possible now, but if you stop and think, "What would Mom do?" It will come to you. Alynn. Strong, truthful, willful, always says it like it is. She does not lie. Music is her gift. From the youngest drum major at MMHS, to a superstar among those who knew her in the pit of many Cincinnati musicals. Alynn. . . please remember. . . stay safe. Lou. Unique, not to do list. You blessed us with two beautiful daughters. You were a stay-at-home Dad, even before that was a thing. You raised those girls well. I learned many things from you. Things I didn't even know, like how to turn off the toilet before it overflowed. Laura, the love of my life. I knew I loved you the moment I met you. I tried to ignore it, deny it, but I could not. Thanks for all the great travel memories. You made life fun, exciting and authentic. A celebration of life for Rachel will be held Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at McHugh Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 283 Hanover St, Manchester, New Hampshire 03104, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 PM.Show more
