Patricia L. "Pat" Golden, 82, of The Caring Place in Franklin, formerly of Victory Heights, died at 1:23 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at The Caring Place. She was born in Franklin on September 30, 1936 to the late Wilbert and Zada (Weaver) Dietz. She graduated from Cranberry High School. Pat was a founding member of the Victory Heights Community League. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Franklin. Pat enjoyed playing cards with her Card Club. She also was an avid collector of bells and teddy bears; and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Golden was employed by the Bon-Ton Department Store in the Cranberry Mall. She was married in St. Patrick Church on November 5, 1954 to Clyde W. Golden, Jr., and he preceded her in death on November 12, 2012. Surviving are two children: Bruce Golden and his wife Renee of Franklin, and Leigh Ann Matlock and her husband Rodger of Dempseytown; a son-in-law, Steve Rodgers of Manteo, North Carolina; four grandchildren: Jeff Rodgers and his wife Alicia, Kristen Anthony and her husband Ryan, Kristofer Golden and his wife Courtney, and Loren Golden. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Joyce Kennedy and husband Larry; and her brother-in-law, Donald "Butch" Golden and wife Tonia. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Sue Rodgers. Friends and family will be received Friday (April 26) from 1 - 3 and 6 - 8 p.m. in Hile-Best Funeral Home, 2781 Rte. 257 in Seneca, Cranberry Township. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home Saturday (April 27) at 10 a.m. with Deacon Richard Reed, officiating. Private interment will follow in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry.
