Patricia (Pat) Smith Dupepe passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 25, 2023, at the age of 85 in Metairie, Louisiana. While her passing is sad, her family is comforted knowing she is finally at peace following a long illness. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 31, 1938 to the late Verna Munson Linn. Pat is survived by her daughter, Shelley Linn Dupepe; son Bryan Vernon Dupepe, Jr. , his wife Allison Ledyard Dupepe; grandchildren Hunter Ledyard Dupepe, Peri Claire Dupepe, Caroline Coe Dupepe; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Bryan Vernon Dupepe, Sr. and her brother, Clifford Francis Spanier. Pat was a homemaker who loved her family deeply. She was completely devoted to her children and grandchildren. Pat, or Honey as she became to be known by her grandchildren and many others, took particular joy from planning and preparing extravagant holiday meals and over the top birthday parties. Pat also loved traveling, particularly on amazing vacations with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren in Disney World. Pat had a special talent for all things floral and arts and crafts. She was especially skilled at arranging flowers as evidenced by her many blue ribbons while a member of Colonial Garden Club. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for her caregivers Janice, Felicia, and Reina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Friday, October 6, 2023 at 1:00pm. Visitation will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation to the Humane Society of Louisiana.
