Age - 71

December 2, 2023

On November 30, 2023, at the age of 71, Rebecca "Beckie" Ellen Lovelady peacefully passed away, leaving behind love and laughter that will forever be cherished. Born in Indianapolis on October 10, 1952, to Cecil "Jr" and Iona June McClary, Beckie was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her. Beckie dedicated over 20 years of her life to the State, serving in the Department of Education's Finance division. Her commitment and hard work were emblematic of her strong sense of responsibility and dedication to her community. Known for her exceptional tolerance and boundless love, Beckie was affectionately considered eligible for sainthood by those who knew her best. Her sharp wit, caring nature, and infectious laughter made her a joy to be around. As a good Christian woman, she found solace and community at the East 10th St Church of God, where her faith flourished. Beckie had a special fondness for laughter, and one of her greatest joys was indulging in episodes of "I Love Lucy. " Anything Lucy brought a smile to her face, reflecting her appreciation for humor and the lighter side of life. Her warmth and good humor extended into her role as the conductor of her family train, skillfully navigating and keeping everything on track. As the backbone of her family, Beckie would go to great lengths for the ones she loved. Her husband of 51 years, Roy, and son Toby (Christiana) Lovelady were at the center of her world. Sister Suellen (Dave) Gibson, bonus son Willie Riddle, nephews David and Darren Gibson, sister-in-law Donna, and even grandpuppy Tinkerbell were all recipients of Beckie's boundless love and care. Beckie's role as the elder sister was not just a title; it was a reflection of the maternal love she showered upon Suellen. Their bond was a testament to the strength of family ties. Beckie is preceded in passing by her parents, Cecil "Jr" and Iona June McClary. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her memory will live on through the love she shared. Rebecca "Beckie" Ellen Lovelady: a woman whose love knew no bounds, whose laughter was infectious, and whose presence will be dearly missed. May she rest in eternal peace. Julia Ehrgott

Julia Ehrgott

Age - 81

December 2, 2023

Julia Ann Ehrgott, a force of nature, left this world on November 29, 2023, at the age of 81. Born on August 13, 1942, to Cecil Dale and Julia Antoniette Woods, Julia lived a life as vibrant and feisty as befit her personality. Julia, a former cleaning supervisor for Merry Maids, was not your typical 9-to-5 personality. She was bold as the margaritas she enjoyed, and a sense of humor that could light up any room. Julia was the life of the party, and if there was laughter echoing, you could bet she was at the center of it, entertaining everyone with tales that often left them in stitches. Unapologetically blunt, Julia proudly declared that she didn't take any nonsense from anybody. She stood up for herself and, true to her spirit, encouraged others to do the same. Julia was a fierce mama bear, defending her loved ones with unwavering dedication. Family gatherings, especially during Christmas, were her domain, where she hosted with unmatched enthusiasm. Her love extended beyond her human family; Julia doted on her dogs as if they were her own flesh and blood. Milky, Barney, Star, and Sophia were more than pets--they were cherished members of the family. Julia is survived by her loving children, Bruce (Kathy) Ehrgott, Richard (Dawn) Ehrgott, and Christine (Eddie) Simpson. Her grandchildren, Bruce "Bubba" (Lindsay) Ehrgott Jr, Megan (Randy) Schmidt, Sydney Ehrgott, and Shelby Ehrgott, and great-grandchildren, Austin Ehrgott, Brycen Schmidt, and Landon Schmidt, will carry on her legacy. Her sister, Kathy Geminden, and numerous nieces and nephews also mourn her passing. Julia is preceded in death by her son, Daniel Allen Ehrgott Jr, and her siblings Doris Bunnell, Cecil "Bud" Woods, Kenneth Woods, Gerald "Buck" Woods, Janet Thompson, Wanda Holt, David Woods, and Rebecca Woods. A celebration of Julia's life will be held at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 3 PM, preceded by visitation from 1 PM until the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Julia's memory to the Indiana Masonic Home Foundation. Julia Ann Ehrgott: a woman who laughed loudly, loved fiercely, and left a mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her spirit continue to shine bright in the memories and stories shared by those whose lives she touched. To to the family or in memory of Julia Ann (Woods) Ehrgott, pleaseShow more

George Enslin

Age - 90

George Frederick Enslin (November 1, 1933 to November 27, 2023) Transitioned to Glory, Heaven Bound on Monday, November 27 , 2023, peacefully entering the arms of Jesus. George was predeceased by his beloved wife Joyce, dear daughter Adriene (Steve Andress), and sister Charlotte Stengl. He is lovingly remembered and missed by daughter Karen, son in law Roberto Villamediana, sister Rosemarie Enslin and family in Western Canada and the US. Also warmly remembered by many friends and the warm-hearted caregivers at Extendicare in Kingston. George was an accomplished businessman and retailer. He held senior positions with Canada's best-known retailers: Woodwards in New Westminster and Calgary; Zellers in Orillia, Sudbury, Preston, Niagara Falls, Lindsay and Kingston; and later as a Canadian Tire Dealer in Kingston. His favourite retail experience was owning the Emporium in Kingston, a tiny men's shop known for its quality clothes and tuxedo rentals. He was actively involved in Kingston's business community. In his spare time, George loved sailing and rowing. George and his late wife Joyce, who was an accomplished artist and gardener, enjoyed more than 60 years of marriage. Once George retired, George and Joyce spent many winters at a Christian faith community in Florida and travelling. In the last half of his life, George's faith and family were most important to him and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he met. He lit up any room with warmth and kindness and he will be greatly missed. He always had a smile and encouraging words for everyone he met and his passion was to make life better for others. At Extendicare he transformed the gardens and pond into a lovely oasis, donating both time and funds to make the outdoor space beautiful for everyone. He maintained the pond with fresh water every week to make sure the 100 plus fish he had placed there survived. He was able to do this up until he got ill at the end of October. For those who wish, donations in George's name may be made to Extendicare Kingston Programs Department (309 Queen Mary Rd. , Kingston) for its community garden, or to his beloved Bay Park Baptist Church (775 Progress Ave. , Kingston). Memorial and life celebration planned for the Spring of 2024 at Wilton Cemetery, Wilton, Ontario. For information about the spring celebration, contact Payne Funeral Home.
