Paashone Janelle Pershall (nee Plume) 55, passed away on Monday, august 28, 2023 at her mother's home. She was born July 5, 1968 in Bakersfield, California. She was the daughter of Frank Reed and Phyllis (Fletcher) Plume. Paashone started school in California, attended some grade school in Ava, Missouri, went to middle school in Haysville, Kansas, and graduated from Wichita Metro Meridian in 1985. After high school, she joined the U. S. Army Reserves where she was trained to be a field medic. She then served in the U. S. Navy for 2 years active duty in Guam until 1989. Her final military service was with the U. S. Air National Guard from 2001 until discharge in 2008. P. J. was an excellent welder with Harper Trucks. She worked in maintenance at WSU Physical Plant while attending Wichita Technical School to become a machinist. She worked at Beech-Hawker as a machinist until she finished Air National Guard instruction as an Aircraft Electrical & Environmental Systems Craftsman, earning the distinguished Honor Graduate. After that she worked in "Flight" at Beechcraft as an Avionic Tech until her health failed and she could no longer work because of COPD. P. J. met and married Mark Brown while in the Navy in Guam in 1989. Their daughter, Joanna was born there in 1989. Her second daughter Jessica was born in 1990 in Wichita, Kansas. Their marriage ended in 1992. She met Mark in Wichita, KS and they were married in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1998. They were divorced in 2004. Paashone is survived by her daughters, Joanna Danelle Brown of Fridley, MN and Jessica Rachelle Christiansen of Braham, MN; 4 grandchildren, Roxanne Brown, Charlie, Kylyn and Emma Christiansen; her mother, Phyllis James; her brother Joseph (Candy) Plume, Aaron (Deana) Plume and Roger R. F. James; and her sister Frankie Rebecca (Brian) Murphy. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Plume. At her request--no formal services were held. A "Farewell Party" was held for her by her family and friends. The family wants to express our thanks for the outpouring of love, food, gifts and especially prayers at her passing.
