Ottie Venable Obituary

Ottie Kathleen Kimbrough Venable, age 96, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. Ottie was born in Cord, Arkansas to her parents Elmer and Ovie Jo Latting. Ottie was a longtime member of Bellview Baptist Church in Westlake, and a life member of the American Legion Auxillary Unit 370, and VFW. Ottie was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Kimbrough and Earl Venable; granddaughter, Melissa Klare; grandsons, Seth Anderson and Chris Jordan; sons-in-law, Bill Jordan and Jerry Bratcher; her parents, her sisters, Dean Evette, Elleba Clester, Vida Hodges, and Reda Levern Butler; and her brothers, Adell Latting and Tony Latting. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Wanda Sue Kimbrough Bratcher, Debbie Kimbrough Hill, Teresa Kimbrough Jordan and Bonnie Kimbrough Anderson (Willis); step-daughter, Dale Venable Richard; grandsons, Jason Jordan (Wendy), Chris Scalisi (Amy), and Terry Demars; granddaughter, Jonnie Ardoin; great-grandchildren, Jaydon, Kamryn, Presleigh, Westyn, Dax, and Addison; sister, Pat Graham of Michigan; sister-in-law, Nell Latting of Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p. m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Westlake Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake.
