Oswaldo Cardenas Jr Obituary

JR was born with a giant's frame to carry a heart of gold and a spirit of both a fierce protector and a gentle caretaker. Blessed with an electric and infectious smile and a determination to conquer the world. JR was an adventurous soul who loved to be surrounded by his family and friends, especially out in nature. He loved being in it and a part of it. This love mixed with his sense of adventure would steer him to connect as if he were being guided by the spirits of his Native American ancestors. On August 27, 2023, JR was tragically taken from this life with his best friends James Wyatt Gordon and Julian Lovera by his side. JR was born on September 26, 2004, to Christina Hermosillo and Oswaldo Cardenas-Oseguera. He lived in Cloverdale his whole life, and raised with a knowledge, appreciation, and respect for his Mexican and Native American heritage. Since birth he has been an enrolled member of the Cloverdale Rancheria. His determination fueled his fire to learn and grow. With the educational guidance and support of the staff at Green Acres School, led to him to achieve his goal of graduating as a member of the Class of 2023 from Cloverdale Unified School District. He leaves behind his loving devoted mother Christina Hermosillo, his father Oswaldo Cardenas-Oseguera, brothers: Antonio, Nicandro, and Kevin Cardenas, sister Isabelle Cardenas all of Cloverdale. Adored grandmother Patricia Hermosillo, uncles: Mario, Jr. , Manuel, Sr. , and Paul Hermosillo of Sonoma County. As well as uncle Manuel Hermosillo and aunt Mirabel Vega of Arizona. Best friends, James Wyatt Gordon, Julian Lovera, and Michael Jimenez along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family members. Preceded in death by his maternal family; grandfather Mario Hermosillo, Sr. , and cousin's Manuel Hermosillo, Jr. , and Jordan Bardoso Pas. Along with paternal family; grandmother Audelia Oseguera and grandfather Rogelio Cardenas.
