We are heartbroken to announce that Oscar Moran left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the age of 44. Oscar was full of laughter, with a contagious smile lighting up any room he entered. He was an amazing friend, cousin, brother, son, and father, touching the lives of so many people. He is gone but not forgotten, as he always holds a place in our hearts and memories. We would love you to come and honor his life at Trinity Funeral Home. Oscar is preceded in death by his father, Ignacio Moran; brother, Hector Moran; nephews Aaron Cruz, Justin Martinez, and Matthew Sanchez. Left to treasure Oscar's memory are his mother, Maria L. Moran; brothers, Steve Moran, Jorge (Socorro) Moran, Mark Gonzalez; sisters, Norma Guenther, Diane (Arnold) Sanchez and Bonnie Vanway. His children, Robert Galvan Moran, Patrick Moran, Isabella Marie Rodacker, Lorenz Armando Hanson, Brittany Moran, Oscar Moran, Jr. , and wife, Maria Morales. His beloved grandchildren, Leila, Aaron Matthew, and Ella Moran. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Oscar will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Maria D. Lopez, age 77, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on December 1, 2023 at Valley Baptist Medical Center surrounded by love of family. She was born in Brownsville, TX June 21, 1946 to Leonardo Hernandez and Alberta O. Ornelas. Maria was a lifelong resident of San Benito, TX and member of Our Lady Lourdes Catholic Church. She is survived by to cherish her beautiful memory, her loving husband, Filiberto (Gilbert) Lopez, Children, Victoria Rios, Gilbert Lopez (Valentina), Brenda Martinez (Paul Jr. ), Rafael Lopez (Norma L. ), Miriam Rios, Melissa Lopez (Danny Pagan), 18 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren, Three sisters, Maria Higinia Ramos, Berta Ramirez and Alma Rosa Celaya. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She has joined those who have preceded her in death, her son Ruben Rios, brothers, Miguel Hernandez, Armando Hernandez, Sisters, Dora Irma Loya, Juanita Sanchez, Norma De Leon and her parents. Visitation will be held on Monday December 4, 2023 from 12 noon to 9:00 pm with a prayer service of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial is scheduled to be held on Tuesday December 5, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, La Paloma. Interment will follow to Las Rusias Cemetery, Los Indios. Rosalinda "Rosie" Charles, 69, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2023 with her loving husband by her side. Rosie was born March 12, 1954 to Magin and Maximina Torres. She married the love of her life Rodolfo "Rudy" Charles on June 7, 1974. Rosie graduated from Harlingen High School in 1974 and proudly earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Brownsville in 1995. Rosie was passionate about education. She was a paraprofessional in the Harlingen CISD and loved working with the schoolchildren at Treasure Hills and Dishman Elementary Schools. Once she completed her bachelor's degree, Rosie devoted the remainder of her professional career to helping adults obtain professional certifications and advanced degrees through financial assistance and guidance as a caseworker with Cameron Workforce. She retired from service in 2009. Rosie will be remembered for her lasting impact on the lives of so many. In her personal life, Rosie was the life of the party. She loved rock music, especially live, and she loved to dance. She enjoyed gardening. Rosie passionately loved her family. She had an enormous heart and was incredibly generous. Her radiant smile could light up a room. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will always be cherished. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Rudy Charles of Harlingen; two sons, Steve (Angie Guiter) Charles and Michael (Andrea) Charles; two grandsons, Steven Charles and Andrew Charles; two brothers and a loving sister, Rudolfo (Susan) Torres, Armando Torres and Irma Kitchens; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 30,2023 1:00 p. m. - 9:00 p. m. with a Holy Rosary at 7:00p. m. at Trinity Funeral Chapel of the Holy Spirit. In Loving Memory of Deborah Garrison Deborah Garrison, born to parents Dr. Lamar and Vera Harper, peacefully departed from this world in Harlingen, TX at age 73. She spent her formative years in Tucson, Arizona. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Deborah was an affectionate person who gave her all to the people she loved, especially a devoted mother who poured love and care into her family. She found joy in nurturing her children. She had many friends, and family members that she cared deeply about. She was not only a cherished family member and friend, but also a dedicated athlete who pursued excellence on the track. She was one of the top 10 (#8) female distance runners in the nation, and won a track scholarship to college where she studied to become a nurse. Her commitment to the sport and the countless hours of training led her to compete in the 1968 Olympic Trials, plus lots of medals along the way, a testament to her determination and skill as a runner. Beyond the track, Deborah had a profound love for music, and the heartfelt notes of the piano were a constant companion throughout her life. She often found solace and joy in playing and sharing the beautiful melodies that echoed through her home, playing as an accompanist for others, and volunteering for her church congregation. In addition to her athletic and musical pursuits, Deborah achieved a bachelor's degree in music and a master's degree in homeland security. Her children have fond memories of going on nature walks with her, working in the garden together, and watching her sew. Deborah lovingly raised her children in Chesterfield, Virginia. She is survived by her children Trina Barry of Champlin, MN, Stephen (Allison) Garrison of Midlothian, VA, Dr. Daniel (Silvia) Garrison of Burlington, IA, Tiffany Tucker of Stansbury Park, UT, and Tara Garrison of Hilo, HI, along with her 21 grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Deborah is survived by siblings Stuart (Karen) Hancock and Suzette Peterson, as well as adoptive siblings Ed Hancock, Nancy Siegel, John Hancock, JoAnne Phillips, Froy Hancock, along with her Aunt Sue Norovich, and many adored cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Lamar and Vera Harper, her adoptive parents James (Catherine) Hancock, her grandfather Cecil Hancock, grandmother Florence Powell, Aunt Gladys (Ken) Gardner, and Uncle Jerry (Astrid) Hancock, all of which held a special place in her heart. A memorial service to celebrate Deborah Garrison's life will be held at the East Lawn Palms Cemetery, in Tucson, AZ at a later date for friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the Children's Music Fund. May Deborah's soul rest in eternal peace. She will be dearly missed but will remain forever in our hearts as a loving mother, family member, and friend.Show more

Clarissa Martinez, 88, was called home to be with the Lord peacefully on Wednesday November 22, 2023 at Harlingen Medical Center surrounded by love of her family. She was born and raised in La Feria, TX daughter to Primitivo Sanchez and Josefina Silva Sanchez. Clarissa was a hardworking lady and devout Catholic. She was a lifelong member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She served at her church countless hours as a volunteer and a catechism teacher for many years. Clarissa retired from Knapp Chevrolet where she worked for 40+ years of faithful service. She is preceded in death by her parents. Clarissa leaves to cherish her beautiful memory her devoted husband of 64 years, Stanley Martinez, children, Mario Martinez (Dina), Sam Martinez (Marcy) and Lucy Miramontes (Walter), her Grandchildren, Jennifer Martinez (Brian Espinosa), Mario Martinez Jr. (Heather), Michael Martinez and fiance, Gabriella Rivera, Jason Martinez, Justin Martinez (Cristina Lugo), Jacob Martinez (Averie), Michael Peynado and Olivia Peynado, Great Grandchildren, Taylor Munoz (Anthony), Victoria Clancy, Liam Reason, Ethan Reason, Deacon Martinez, Mia Martinez, Colton Lewis and Breah Lewis, cousins, Enedina Zavala (Cristobal), Norma Vallejo, Jimmy Medina, Eduardo Silva and Hailey Garcia.
