Onsby C. Johnson, age 87, of Andrews, IN, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at Parkview Huntington Hospital. Mr. Johnson was born on May 21, 1935, in Melvin, KY, to Corbin and Flossie (Tackett) Johnson. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Johnson married Marie Harris on September 15, 1953, and they would have celebrated 70 years of marriage. Marie survives and resides in Huntington, IN. Mr. Johnson was a retired employee of 30 years at Dana Corporation, in Marion, Indiana. He was a member of Erie Freewill Baptist Church, Wabash, IN. Onsby and his wife enjoyed traveling and doing activities with their church. Along with his wife, Marie, he is survived by one son, Kenneth (Marla) Johnson; one daughter, Debra (Richard) McHenry, both of Huntington, IN; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Omra Chester Johnson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 12:00 p. m. to 2:00 p. m. , followed by a 2:00 p. m. Funeral Service with Evangelist Todd Masters officiating at McElhaney - Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St. , Huntington, IN.
