Onita Henson Obituary

Nita Henson of Liberty City, TX, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Tiffan House in Georgetown TX. Born to Seaborn James (Bud) Whatley and Frankie (Hicks) Whatley, Nita was the last of a family of ten children. She was a graduate of Mesquite High School. Always active in her church, Nita studied her Bible throughout her life and taught Sunday School to all ages, prepared meals in the church kitchen, and was a loyal friend to those who sought her council. She is survived by her two children: Randy (Darlene) Henson, Georgetown TX, Sandra Williams, Columbus, OH; Grandchildren are David (Ally) Denver CO, Jeff (Megan) Columbus OH, James (Barbara) Henson, Lubbock TX, and Cody (Susan) Henson , Burnet TX. She was also blessed by 8 wonderful great grandchildren (Tyler, Max, Randi Mae, Gray, Grant, Hank, Fletcher, and Lydia). Services will be held at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, TX. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 with Randy Henson officiating. Visitation will be 12:00 to 1:00 pm; one hour prior to service. Private family interment will follow at Danville Cemetery.
