Anne J. Tannous (nee O’Donovan) died on February 24, 2024, after listening to her children sing songs that she taught them when they were young. She was the loving wife of Daniel S. Tannous, Sr. to whom she was married for 57 years before his death in 2011. Born in Sayre, PA, Anne was the daughter of the late John D. and Margaret J. (Austin) O’Donovan. She was predeceased by her sister Mary M. O’Donovan. She was a graduate of Sayre High School, Sayre, PA, and Sacred Heart School of Nursing, Allentown, PA.She began her career as a registered nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital after which Anne spent many years instilling self-discipline, responsibility, honesty, and trust in her 9 children. For 10 years, she drove school bus #13 for Parkland School District where her students knew her as “AJ.” She then returned to her nursing career at Sacred Heart Hospital for a number of years before finishing 10 years at Lehigh Valley Hospital, retiring in 1993.Anne enjoyed traveling. She and Dan cruised many islands, she and her sister Mary visited many European countries, she reveled in annual summer vacations to Wildwood Crest with the Tannous Clan, and she cherished her final trip abroad to Ireland in 2013.Anne’s love and devotion to her family, along with her deep faith, sense of humor, acts of kindness, and compassionate care of others will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.Survivors are her children: Daniel (Anita); Lisa (George Isaacson); Michael (Mary); Timothy (Karen); Nicholas (AnnaMarie); Rita; Teresa (Chet Hiester); Margaret (Stephen Shackleford); and Patrick (Robin). She also leaves behind her 19 grandchildren who loved their Grandmama and 23 great grandchildren who loved their GGMA.Funeral mass: Friday, March 1, 2024, 10:00, Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena Church, 18th & Turner Streets., Allentown. Herring, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Marie (Lichtenwalner) Kunkel. She was a member of Cedar Church, Cetronia. Before retiring, she worked as an executive secretary for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit for 30 years. She was a member of the Cetronia Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and the East Penn Chapter 336 of Eastern Star, where in 1980, she served as the Worthy Matron. Mary Ann enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. Survivors: sons Michael H. and Steven C., and his wife Sharon, all of Allentown; brother-in-law, Irvin Herring, of Lenhartsville; two grandchildren, Tyler Smith and Leah Herring. She was predeceased by a half-sister, Betty Lou Herring. Services: 1:00 PM, Monday, March 4 at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St. Allentown. Calling hour will begin at 12:00 PM. Dean Robert Booz, 64, of Quakertown, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at St. Luke’s Allentown Campus.Born on May 28, 1959, in Doylestown, PA, he was a son of the late Raymond and Georgia (Lancaster) Booz.A graduate of Central Bucks East High School’s Class of 1975, he went on to join the workforce. Dean spent nearly thirty years with Fromm Electric, most recently serving as the Manager of Electric Supply.Outside of work, he found great joy in riding motorcycles.Dean will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Deborah J. (Stotz) Booz; daughter: DeanaMaree Harley Booz; stepson: James Strong and his wife Jessie; grandchildren: Emily Booz, Emily Strong, and Xander Strong; and brother: Brian E. Elizabeth Claire Nutting (Betsy) passed away February 10, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital hospice after a long, hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Betsy was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She was the daughter of Robert E. Nutting, Sr and Mary Weyer Nutting and sister of the late John Nutting.Betsy received a BA in art education from Muskingum College in Ohio and an MEd in special education at Acadia University. Betsy was a caring educator teaching art therapy at nursing homes and special education students at schools in Philadelphia as well as at Upper Perkiomen middle school and Meade elementary school in Allentown PA.Betsy was known for her kindness and generosity to family and friends and especially for her animals. In addition to her dogs Pachay and Jackie, Betsy adopted 11 cats into her home and was a part of a feral cat support group in Allentown. Her love of all creatures led to her creating a wildlife habitat in her back garden to nourish bees, butterflies and birds.A third order Franciscan, Betsy honored her faith by singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, doing pastoral care, volunteering at assisted living facilities and pursuing her Bible studies. She was able to travel widely in Europe and The Holy Land where she traced the origins of her faith and formed many friendships with her fellow travelers.Betsy is survived by her brother Robert E. Nutting, Jr (Sandra), her nephew Jeremy Nutting (Amy), her niece Carey Goldblatt (Jeremy) and six great nieces and nephews.Betsy’s family will be eternally grateful to her friends, neighbors, and church family who provided invaluable support during her illness and who continue to support them since her death.SERVICE: A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 9, 10:30 AM at St Thomas More Church, 1040 Flexer Ave. Allentown, PA 18103. "Doris Amelia (Baer) McCready passed away February 22, 2024, at the age of 96. She was the wife of the late Horace McCready Jr., married January 29, 1950. She was born in Allentown, PA, the daughter of the late John Baer and Leah Gackenbach. She was a 1945 graduate of Allentown High School and worked at PP\u0026amp;L on 9th and Hamilton Streets where she was the secretary to the purchasing agent. After raising her children, she worked at Hess\u0027s Department Store until it closed. She was a member at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church, Allentown. Survivors: son, Keith McCready and daughter-in-law, Dorothy, of Northampton; daughter, Wendy, and son-in-law, Kevin Yandrasitz of Catasauqua; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Horace McCready Jr., and sister, Reba Mae Deily. Services will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 28th at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 W. Highland St., Allentown. A calling will precede the service from 12:30-1:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Allentown."

Born in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Jean (Moszczynski) Matteo and Walter Domrzalski. He was a proud graduate of North Catholic High School in Philadelphia. He attended Drexel University where he received his bachelors of science degree in business administration and the University of Pennsylvania for his master’s degree in arts and communications. He enjoyed golfing, cribbage, and playing poker monthly with his friends and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Richard worked for Sears as a Manager and Head of Customer service, Air Products in Public relations and Contributions, Vice President for HR consulting company Kranz \u0026amp; Associates, and finally Marketing Manager for Lehigh Valley Red Cross. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy (Domrzalski) Cary of Allentown, NJ, his grandchildren Rebecca of Arlington, VA, Jillian, and Sean of Allentown, NJ, his stepson Steven Brooks and step grandchildren Katelin and Daniel of Mount Pleasant, SC, his sister Lorraine (Domrzalski) Cuddy of Perkiomenville, PA. Jacqueline “Jackie” Gawlikowski, 87, of Green Acres Drive in Allentown, PA, died on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, with her family by her side. She was born on May 19, 1936, in France, and came to America at the age of thirteen. Jackie was employed by Champion Spark Plug (Known as Hellertown Manufacturing) for many years until its closing in 1982. She later worked at various other companies throughout the Lehigh Valley until her retirement. Jackie was a devoted Catholic who took her faith seriously and would attend Mass regularly at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. She was a hard worker and her love for gardening and landscaping was reflected in the many flower beds and gardens that surrounded her home. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to her friends and their gardens. She loved to go to the casino and take long walks throughout her neighborhood and talk to people along the way and for many years she spent the winter months in Florida with Bill. She will be dearly missed by her son, Joseph J. Gawlikowski Jr. and his wife Jill (Davies) of Center Valley, PA, her granddaughter, Megan Gawlikowski of Easton, PA, and great-grand dog, “Porter”. She is also survived by a stepbrother and a stepsister in Les Bray, France. She was predeceased by an older brother, Wiadyslaw Rokosz, in France, and long-time companion, William Romanow, who passed away in 2011. All are invited to a viewing on Saturday, February 24, from 10-11:30 am in the Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown, with a Catholic Prayer Service beginning at 11:30am. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
