Olen Michael Smith went to his forever home on September 7, 2023. Olen was born on May 5, 1949 to James & Nell Smith in Cleburne, Texas. Olen served 15 years in the Army, he served in Vietnam and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 9299 in Alvarado, TX. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Stroney Pointe Fire Department and the Alvarado and Venus Fire Department. He met the love of his life, Loutrisha Ann Wilson in junior high and they married in 1968 and they have 3 children, Glen Michael,Richard Wayne and Rebecca Ann. They raised their children in South Fort Worth, Texas. He loved woodworking, making pens and he loved picking locks as a locksmith. He loved his family and friends and will missed by all who loved him. Olen is preceded in death by parents James and Nell Smith, Brother James Lincoln Smith and Sister(Infant) Mary Nell Smith. Olen is survived by wife Loutrisha Ann Smith, son Glen Michael Smith Jr. and wife Ellie, son Richard Wayne Smith and wife Brandi and daughter Rebecca And French and husband Scott. 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Christy Ruth Hardee Johnson, a beacon of warmth and authenticity, passed away on November 16, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of unconditional love and unwavering support. Born in Cleburne, Texas on December 2, 1957, to John W. and Barbara (Rudloff) Hardee, Christy embodied a spirit that touched countless lives. Her passions were as diverse as they were heartfelt. From her intricate cross-stitch creations to the savory aromas that danced from her kitchen, Christy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. The great outdoors beckoned her with open arms, where she reveled in the tranquility of country living. Yet, it wasn't just her hobbies that defined her; it was her character. Christy was a beacon of acceptance and understanding. Her genuine nature knew no bounds, and she never wore a facade. Those fortunate enough to know her recognized that she was "always Christy" - raw, honest, and wonderfully unapologetic. In the face of adversity, Christy's compassion shone brightest. She stood by her siblings, guiding them through life's trials with unwavering strength and grace. A celebration of Christy's life will be held in the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel on November 25 at 12 pm. It will be a time to gather, honor her memory, and cherish the impact she made on our lives. Christy is survived by her husband Will Johnson, her son Ricky and his wife Laura Robertson, daughter Misty and her husband Brandon Harmon, and grandchildren McKayla and Kyle Crews, Bryan Robertson, Peyton Robertson, Marquis East, Breanna East, Caleb Smith, Gary Douse and three great grandchildren. She leaves behind her father John W. Hardee, sister Kelly and Greg Hatch, brother John R. and Laurie Hardee, brother Joe and Jennifer Hardee, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Christy was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Hardee and brother Wesley. A graduate of Alvarado High School in 1975, Christy's spirit of determination and kindness resonated through her life's journey. In honoring her memory, let us carry forth her legacy of genuine love, acceptance, and unwavering support for one another. Christy's presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever reside in our hearts.
