June 17, 2022
Houlton, ME
NEW LIMERICK, Norma Faye Ross Watson, 92, went to her Heavenly home on June 17, 2022. She was born to Myra and Guy Ross on January 19, 1930, the youngest of 14. Norma was a loving and devoted wife to Robert Watson for 62 years. Her greatest loves were the Lord and her 10 children, 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She kept count of them all. Norma spent her life as a caretaker of many. As a teenager she helped her mother who had a stroke and as a young newlywed she took her father into her and Robert's home. She was a very hard working woman, working alongside her husband on Watson Farms potato farm as well as raising her children and later taking care of her father-in-law, C. D. She was also the bookkeeper for her and her husband's trucking business, Watson Trucking. She also branched outside the family businesses and worked at Cary Library for years being the "talking book lady" as well as other duties. Norma loved Chrstmas and many passersby looked forward to her display of Christmas trees on the hill in front of her home. Norma was a devoted member of County Road Baptist Church. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert, 4 children, Kris, Kent, Roy and Louise and a special daughter-in-law, Gretchen, a great granddaughter, Ella, of VA, and all of her siblings. She is survived by her children, Carl (Carmel), Wayne (Marlene), Brent (Karen) of NY, Kevin (Nora) of Presque Isle, Jamey (Ellen) of Ohio, and Lois (Glen) Barnes. As well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. The family gives special tribute to their sister, Lois, who gave up her own home life to care for her mother for the last 10 years; making it possible for Norma to live out her life in her own home. Such love. Also a special thank you to Ellen Watson for her care. Her final services will be held at The County Road Baptist Church, New Limerick, ME. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 1:00 PM with the funeral at 2:00 PM followed by a graveside service at the New Limerick Cemetery with Pastor Dan Morse officiating. There will be a reception following at the County Road Baptist Church. To share condolences and memories online visit www. bowersfuneral. com
