Rick Baldacci

Age - 74

November 17, 2023

Henry Ricardo Baldacci, known to all as Rick, crossed over from life into Life on November 4th, 2023, at the age of 74, in Westminster, Colorado. Born and raised in Richmond, Virginia, Rick's life was a tapestry woven with stories, laughter, and an unwavering love for people. The youngest son of Teddy and Marguerite Baldacci, Rick's childhood was a symphony of family gatherings, melodies, and tales that seemed to stretch the limits of possibility. Rick grew up in Richmond, graduating from Hermitage High School, and pursued his college education at the University of Richmond where he met the love of his life, Ellen (Maley) Baldacci. Together, they created a life in Colorado (Evergreen, Arvada, and Westminster), painting each chapter with laughter, love, and adventure. Rick's professional journey was a testament to his passion for nurturing others. His career in Personnel and Human Resources spanned numerous companies, and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish HR Baldacci & Associates and RNL Solutions, where he mentored, nurtured leaders, and breathed life into organizations through the power of connection. Grounded in faith, family, and friendships that traversed continents, Rick's love knew no bounds. His infectious smile and welcoming countenance were his trademarks, alongside his trusty guitar, strumming tunes or leading heartfelt worship sessions. A storyteller extraordinaire, Rick's tales painted vivid pictures, but his true magic lay in his writing. With poetic finesse, he penned verses that touched hearts, writing numerous poems and publishing three books--The Heart of the Matter, The Secrets of Havenwood, and Corporate Complicity--each offering insights to the person he was. Rick is survived by his eternal love of 55 years, Ellen; their son Drew and daughter-in-law Gina; daughter Nina and son-in-law Tim (Sloan); five most precious grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a cherished brother, sister-in-law, and a myriad of cousins (and their families!).
