Emily June Lewis, age 90, was called home on October 19. She passed peacefully with her daughters, Reene Kratky and Debbie Hill, by her side. June lived a life to serve others. Family and friendship were her foundation. She loved to send cards for all occasions and words of support to those in their time of need. She also found purpose by providing a safe haven for children as she ran an in-home daycare for many years. She was recognized around town as one of "the sisters. " They loved to sing together at church, go to lunch and shop at thrift stores. Forever she will be remembered by many as Mama June, to some as Grandma and to two as Mama. Although she will be deeply missed here on earth, we know in our hearts that Papa Doc and your siblings greeted her at the gates.
