Nicole "Nikki" M. Anderson, 46, of Escanaba, passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023 at her home. She was born on December 31, 1976 in Manitowoc County, WI, daughter to Darwood Thomas Anderson and Wendy Jean (Walesh) Chizek. Nikki was raised in Two Rivers, WI until moving to Escanaba while she was in grade school. Nikki graduated from James R. Fitzharris High School in 1993. She currently was employed with Goodwill. Nikki loved playing bingo, cribbage, and board games. She enjoyed coloring with gel pens and watching movies, her favorite being Labyrinth. Nikki was an avid Pippi Longstocking fan. Having her morning coffee with best friends, Marvin and Dennis was time she appreciated each day. Among survivors include her daughters, Jersey Sexton of Escanaba and Ashley Paul of Green Bay, WI; mother, Wendy (Michael) Chizek; grandchildren, Dayna Lee-Petite Corwin and John Paul-Adrian Corwin; sister, Stephanie (Dave) Westerberg of Escanaba; nieces, Emily Larson and Alyson Anderson; nephew, Kenneth Larson, Jr. ; great nephew and niece, Blake and Brinleigh; special cousin, Shirl Hesse; and loving friend, Sunday Quinn. Nikki was preceded in death by her daughter, Harley Rose-Diane Corwin on July 9, 2023, her father, Thomas Anderson on July 14, 2023, nephew, Christopher Anderson, and the father of Jersey, Glenn Sexton, Jr. Visitation will be on Monday, October 16th from 2 - 4 p. m. at the Crawford Funeral Home, 302 S. 13th St. , Escanaba. The funeral service will follow at 4 p. m. with Pastor Paul Culbertson officiating. David Scott Isham, 66, of Escanaba, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Christian Park Village. He was born on June 20, 1957 in Park Falls, WI, son to William J. and Kay J. (Wells) Isham. Dave graduated from Lincoln High School, graduating in 1975. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1975 until his honorable discharge in 1979. On April 18, 1992, Dave married the former Patricia Pritchard in Park Falls, WI. He worked in the maintenance department for the Island Resort and Casino until his retirement. Dave loved spending time with his family, especially his daughters and grandkids. He enjoyed being outside, camping, and having a good time. He had a fun-loving personality always telling stories and sharing numerous jokes. Among survivors include his wife, Patricia Isham; his first wife, Jean (Lobermeier) Koshak and their two daughters, Nicole (Jessica) Jaramillo and Jennifer (Joe) Isham; grandchildren, Dominik Hardy, Alexis Gilbert, and Addison Gilbert; siblings, Gordy Isham, Pat (Cathy) Isham, Sue (Mick) Marth, Crissy (Tom) Eitrem, Jerry Isham, Pam (Sal) Carden, and Jodi (Rocky) Plouff; brother-in-law, Larry Hammond; sister-in-law, Lynn Isham; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Ira Isham; sister, Wendy Hammond; sister-in-law, Kathy Isham; and niece, Samantha Isham. Dennis H. "Radar" Porath, 76, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Hospital. He was born on October 2, 1947 in Escanaba, son to Jack and Marcella (Chouinard) Porath. Dennis graduated from Bark River Harris School, class of 1966. On January 20, 1968, Dennis married Kathleen Ann Clairmont at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Escanaba. Dennis worked at Harnischfeger and at several other places before his last work place at Messersmith Manufacturing. He loved playing golf and was a member of the Highland Golf Course. Dennis also enjoyed hunting at his camp in Perronville. Wintering in Parker, AZ was always time that Dennis and Kathy cherished. Dennis was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. He will be remembered for his kind and helping ways, always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Among survivors include his children, Dawn (Cliff) Gobert of Kansas, Donna (Eugene) Frederickson of Escanaba, Denise (Josh) Aberle, of Ohio, and Dan Porath of Escanaba; grandchildren, Ashley, James, Courtney, Tiffany, Nathalie, Shay, and Brooke; 11 great grandchildren; and siblings, Diane Hooper, Carolyn Thoune, Mary Bittner, Lori Dubord, Larry Valiquette, Yvonne Waller, Kathy Valiquette, Margaret Reiffers, and Nancy Porath; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and stepmom, Rita Porath; he was preceded in death by two siblings, Lana Deviley and Barb Schram. Visitation will be on Monday, November 13th from 2 - 4 p. m. at the Crawford Funeral Chapel in Bark River. The funeral service will follow at 4 p. m. with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. Adolph W. "Abe" Getzloff, 84, of Bark River, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 15, 1939 in Escanaba, son of Arthur J. and Edna M. (VanEnkevort) Getzloff. Abe was raised in Harris and graduated from Bark River-Harris School in 1957. On June 2, 1962, Abe married the former Jill Marion Sundquist at St. George's Church in Bark River. Abe was a 3rd generation farmer on the family dairy farm. He was a hard worker who loved farming and being on his tractors, which he enjoyed up to his passing. He also drove bus for Bark River-Harris Schools for 40 years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed wood working, making maple syrup each spring, and loved BR-H sports. Abe loved spending time with his family and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Abe also looked forward to the Bark River Off Road Races where he was also in charge of watering the track for 42 years. A lifelong resident of the Harris community, he took pride in being a member of the school board for eight years. He was also a life-long member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, where he served as usher. Among survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jill of Bark River; children, Carolyn (Paul) Cole of Wilson, Jeanne (Todd) Lippens of Bark River, Michael (Darcy) Getzloff of Wilson, and Daniel (Christa) Getzloff of Wilson; son-in-law, David Bovin of Two Rivers, WI; 12 grandchildren, Nicole, Jeremy, John, Justin, Ryan, Nicholas, Cherish, Michael, Colten, Ava, Adrianna, and Logan; 11 great grandchildren, Brynn, Hannah, Skylar, Cora, Gage, Griffin, Georgia, Hoyt, Hank, Beckham, and Mila; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by two daughters, Lori Getzloff and Mary Beth Bovin; and four siblings, Arthur, John, and Glenn Getzloff and Mary Barnhill. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 14th from 1 - 3 p. m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Bark River. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 3 p. m. with Rev. Darryl Pepin officiating. At the conclusion of the mass, there will be a meal in the church hall. Burial will take place in the Bark River Twp. Cemetery on Wednesday, 11/15/23, at 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. A scholarship in Abe's name will be established for Bark River-Harris School at a later date.
