Robert T. Andreychik, Bob to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Madison Twp. on April 27 at age 86. Delivered at his parents' home in Lake Ariel, Pa. , on May 15, 1936, Bob graduated from Hawley High School in 1955, where he was a talented baseball player. His love of sports, especially baseball, continued throughout his life. In his later years, he and his wife Martha spent many summer evenings watching the Yankees. And, from the time of his retirement in 1997 until just a few years ago, he could be found at just about every game (and even many practices!) for the North Pocono High School football, baseball, and basketball teams. He became a U. S. Marine in 1957, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. Bob was always proud of his service in the Corps and was a consistent supporter of veteran's causes throughout his life. Bob married Martha, his loving wife of 47 years, in June 1975, and they welcomed their son, Michael, in 1980. Bob was a steadfast provider for his family, working as an x-ray technician for AT&T for many years until his retirement. He delighted in the time he spent with his grandchildren, Jack (10) and Ellie (6), who he had a knack for teasing just the right amount. If you ever wanted to find Bob and Martha, a good bet was to wait for them at Delish on Main, where they spent many mornings chatting and relaxing with friends. He was a quiet person, but once you started talking to him, you couldn't help but be drawn in by his sense of humor and generous spirit. He loved living in the country, where he could garden, hunt, and sit on his swing and experience the sights and sounds of nature. He was predeceased by his mother (Mary), father (Michael), brother (Donald), and sister (Barbara). He is survived by his wife, Martha; his son, Michael (Kate); his grandchildren, Jack and Ellie; his sister- and brother-in-law, Les and Lil Simpson; and his nephews, Larry, Don, and Rick.
