Neva Faye Riggleman Kingston, 91, a resident of Singers Glen, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Mrs. Kingston was born on December 31, 1931 and was a daughter of the late Loy Samuel and Rennie Roadcap Riggleman. She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Mayland. She retired as a dispatcher from North and South Truck Line. On June 7, 1947 she married the late Thomas J. Kingston, Jr. Surviving are her children; Larry Wallace Kingston and wife Diane, Tomi Jean Wegman and husband Preston, a special son; Allen Flach, Sr. and wife Bonnie, a sister; Naomi R. Sponaugle, 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two children; Ann Marie Mattucci, Gary Ivan Kingston and two brothers; Wilmer Shumaker, Sherwood B. Riggleman. Pastor Jerry Ruff will conduct a memorial service 11 AM on Saturday, September 23 at Bethel Church of the Brethren. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway.

Bobby Warren Turner, 82, of Criders, died October 26, 2023 at his home. He was born September 29, 1941 in Criders and was a son to the late Warren Wesley and Ogretta Ruth Smith Turner. Bobby was a farmer and local artist, often sharing prints of his artwork. He was a member of Damascus Church of the Brethren in Criders. He frequented the Bergton Book Station as a visitor and helper and also helped at the Bergton Food Bank. Some of the things Bobby enjoyed were hunting and being outdoors, woodworking and grafting from the orchard he had on his land. Bobby made a rug loom and enjoyed making throw rugs. He was a member of the Bergton Fair Association. Surviving is a sister; Gloria Gay Ritchie, of Harrisonburg, three nephews; Larry Allen Ritchie, Jr. , of Roanoke, Kurt Regan Ritchie, of Richmond, IN, Bruce William Ritchie, of Shenandoah, three great nephews; Turner Ritchie, Bennett Ritchie, Aaron Kiser, two great nieces; Susan Haymaker, Sharon Aldridge, a great great niece; Cloe Aldridge, and a cousin; Roger Smith. A graveside service will be held Saturday 1 PM at Caplinger Cemetery in Criders. Pastor Larry Aikens will conduct a memorial service Sunday 3 PM at Damascus Church of the Brethren, where a meal will be served following the service. Friends may pay their respects and sign the guestbook on Friday from 12 PM- 7 PM at the Grandle Funeral Home in Broadway. The casket will be closed.
