Nelzie Smith Wallace, age 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Nelzie was born March 10, 1925 in Pageland, SC, the daughter of the late Torrance Smith and Nellie Melton Smith. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband James Milton Wallace; three sons, James Edward Wallace, Tommy Timothy Wallace and Jerry Wayne Wallace. She leaves behind her three daughters, Linda Wallace Bebber (Ricky), Darlene Wallace Davis (Michael) and Patricia Wallace Bremer; nine grandchildren, Brandon Wallace McCain (Cynthia), Misty Bebber Sweet (Andre'), David Bremer (Kasie), Tina Davis Hampton (Daniel), Shaun Bebber (Alisha), Shane Wallace, Tasha Bremer Mann (Chris), Dana Davis Childress (TJ) and Sherry Carter; 16 great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Alyssa Hampton, Madison and Emilie Sweet, Kylee and Kaden Bremer, Caleb and Emilee Mann, Aubrie and Landon Childress, Kyler and Aydalyn Bebber, Chase and Brody McCain and Michael and Katelyn Sexton. Nelzie was the sweetest person and had the best sense of humor. She loved playing her guitar and singing when she was a young girl. She enjoyed trips to Cracker Barrel with her daughters and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Every night she spoke with her children saying "HAVE A GOOD NIGHT, SLEEP GOOD AND I LOVE YOU". We were blessed to have her for 97 years but miss her so very much.
